My dad recently passed away last Sunday from cancer and the news was absolutely heart wrenching. My mother chose this location to do the wake because the people from her church have had them here before. I'll be honest, I read the reviews and was HORRIFIED. I didn't want my dad anywhere near this location. HOWEVER, my mom asked me to give it a chance and if we didn't like it, we would do the wake somewhere else.

During such a difficult time it saddens me that others had a less than favorable experience with this funeral home. Because of the other reviews I was nervous of what to expect. However, I was relieved when I attended my father's service. The staff did and excellent job and were extremely helpful. Thank you R.G. Ortiz funeral home for making such a difficult day, just a little bit easier.

Stay away from this place my uncle passed away took two weeks to have a viewing. Then to have his remains shipped to Mexico was a nightmare the body didn't arrive for 3 days the body was starting to decompose. Don't bring your loved ones here awful service. Do not come to this funeral home, it is sad that they take advantage of people. Their services are very bad. They took a long time to send my uncle's body to Mexico and when it arrived the body was already decomposing and the coffin had to be changed, another cost for my family and very traumatic. If I could leave you 0 stars I would. Very bad service keep away
