Love this dance studio. They have a great kids program and adult classes. Very experienced teachers. I originally joined the school only to lose a few pounds, ended up hooked on salsa (lost the weight too!). The classes progress, and you can see yourself improve over time. It's also awesome to see people of all nationalities, white, black, Latinos, Asians, Indians everyone! dancing and having a good time together. I enjoy connecting with our community. I've been coming here to learn salsa and bachata for about a month now, and I can confidently say that taking classes here has been an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE! The studio is clean, the ambience is very family-like, the students are welcoming and patient, and the instructor (Jennifer) is THE BEST!!Highly recommend you try out a class here.

I moved to the BX (QBoro native) at the start of the pandemic, so it was doubly isolating observing protocol AND having social anxiety in a new neighborhood. I turn 45 in March and that makes it TRIPLY hard to make friends. It took finding a Groupon in December to get the proverbial ball rolling, but my mental hygiene has improved immensely. Jennifer is a wonderful teacher, and I appreciate how she encourages you to assert yourself. I'm still VERY basic, but I'm happy to stay in my lane and keep showing up because my end goal is to cultivate community and feel more at home in my new hood. If I can burn calories at the same time, awesome!
