“My daughter has been wanting a short cut, and I was a little nervous about it. I made her wait a few months to be sure, and she never changed her mind. I asked the community, who was the best person to go to to help her learn how to handle her curls and give us the best cut for textured hair. So many people recommended Shantelle, and she was so great with her. Taught me a few things to help my daughter take care of her hair, and she was so happy with it. Will definitely return!“

“I’m so glad I found Vitality Salon for hair and makeup services for our August 2023 wedding! Sam Husner and Amanda Callahan were fabulous makeup & hair artists, respectively. They traveled to our venue (the Treman Center) and completed HMU on mothers of the bride & groom, 4 bridesmaids and the bride. They finished everyone ahead of schedule!!As someone who doesn’t wear a lot of makeup generally (which was the case with most of the bridal party as well), Sam and Amanda understood exactly what I was envisioning (natural, “you-but-elevated” look) for everyone else. I also completed a hair & makeup trial about a month before which was really helpful, as we found that a certain pair of false eyelashes looked better on me than another. I was also touched to receive not only a tube of my lip gloss color for touch-ups later (which will probably become my go-to brand/color!) but also a small emergency pack of tissues, blotters, and other items. Most importantly, the hair and makeup stayed put until all was said and done, about 10-11 hours, and didn’t budge a bit when the inevitable tears came. Definitely recommend Vitality for any upcoming wedding!“

Judging (which I don’t normally like doing) by the way she handled herself and the scissors, that’s just how she is though! Fantastic visit! “I got married on 9/23/23 and Gabi was wonderful to work with. She traveled to Watkins Glen to do on site hair at the airbnb we rented. At the trial, I showed her some inspiration photos and she asked follow-up questions to clarify exactly what I was looking for. She sent a message asking how I felt and how my hair held up after having it done all day. The day of my wedding, all I had to do was sit down in the chair and she nailed it! My hair lasted all day even with putting the veil in and taking it out as well as it being a humid/rainy day. My bridesmaids and my mother were also all thrilled with their results!“

“This was my first time here. I absolutely loved the service I received. My hair was in terrible condition and I was ready to cut it all off. The stylist (Halie George) assured me I wouldn't have to do that and made some suggestions. Let me tell you my hair is in the best condition of my life and the hairstyle she gave me is beautiful. She also did my mom's hair and made my mom look amazing. My mom told me today that she doesn't feel like an old lady anymore. She really does look a lot more youthful. The salon was clean and peaceful and I noticed it doesn't have that weird chemical smell that most salons do. Bonus points they are open on Mondays now which most salons in the area are not.“
