Very much like Shaquita Webber another reviewer here, Desmond Greaves the owner of DG Custom Built Homes starts a job, you pay him and he never completes the work. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CHARACTER. He did a whole house demolition, which included the filling of a cesspool and now there has been a hole in the ground for over 7 years. This is a serious hazard to people and children in my neighborhood and yet he just keeps telling me he will fix it and never shows.I will be filing a lawsuit against him as well as code infraction complaints with the Town of Oyster Bay and Nassau County Department of Health, and the New York State Department of...read full review

He is in violation of code in all three jurisdictions. Additionally, I will file a complaint against him with the Nassau County Department of Consumer Affairs to make sure that either his license to perform such work is revoked in Nassau County or at the very least his public record with Consumer Affairs will show an infraction or complaint so others don't make the same mistake Ms. Webber and I have.

I bought a house and had major unseen issues. I hired two contractors before and was taken for a fool. Both contractors promised to help and did not deliver. DG custom built homes came through and was able to assist me with demolition as well as fixing those issues that we encountered. They were extremely reliable and honest. They were very fair with pricing and was courteous and a pleasure to work with I would definitely use them again and would recommend.
