Nancy is amazing. I first stopped by this place because I saw the bright yellow awning on the way to TD Bank. There is a bodega, a discount bread store, and a liquor store in the same shopping facility. I took a J.Crew blazer I purchased on sale that was four sizes too big. It was originally $250 and I purchased it for $50. I figured that even if I spent another $50 on alterations, it would be worth it. And I was right - it was completely worth it. The tailoring job was amazing. You could not tell it was altered and it fit me better than if I had purchased the blazer in my size. There is always something I would like to fix when I buy off the rack... Since then I have brought a ton of my toddler's clothes for alterations. As a first time mom, I've prepurchased cute outfits for my child to "grow into", and after a year and a half I realized that growing into the perfect fit NEVER happens. Sizes are all different, or we miss the season and it doesn't fit anymore. The biggest issue we have is that the waist fits but the pant legs are way too long. I'm relieved to say that I finally found someone to make adjustments to the clothes who I trust and my toddler finally has clothes that fit - as do I... Edit: Before and after pictures of my daughter's mermaid costume - so she wouldn't walk on the tail. It was shortened by 6 inches, and the way it was altered was brilliant! The extra fabric was cut from the middle, and not the bottom prettier piece.
