I was very pleased with the outcome of exactly what I wanted, and I like that she does not cut with razor. Ray explained to me that cutting with a razor damages your hair. Ray specializes in hair extensions. I will definitely drive to Astoria to have Ray cut my wigs.
Betsy's Salon in Astoria is a hidden gem. I had my prom hair done there and it was beautiful. Since then, I've returned for haircuts and a color treatment. Each time I leave feeling gorgeous. I would highly recommend Betsy's.

They make you feel comfortable and pampered and are courteous and professional. I was looking all around Astoria for a pedicure and decided to go to Eve’s based on convenience of the location. In NY there are so many nail salons I feel like it’s necessary to point out the good ones, and Eve’s is one of them! The woman who took care of me was kind and gentle and asked my preferences for some parts of the pedicure, which was very nice. You could tell she wanted to make sure I enjoyed the pedicure and the final result. She took her time and I was very pleased to see all new tools being used for my appointment. The environment was clean, had nice, soft music, and had great natural light in the sunny afternoon.
What more could I ask for on my day off?! Thank you Eve’s nails for a great experience! I will be back!

The prices are affordable, and they go out of their way to make you feel relaxed. While Rosa was doing my manicure, another lady offered a shoulder massage. My nails look great, and Rosa did a great job. I would definitely go back.

I started going to Glamour Studio a little over 2 years ago now. It was by chance that Google connected me to a salon that was open and available on a Saturday morning when I needed a blow out for an event. What I’ve ended up receiving from Glamour Studio is much more than a blow out and better than I could have ever imagined.
I’ve tried all the different treatments available at the salon- Brazilian Blowout Smoothing treatment, Olaplex, and a hydrating CBD treatment. All of these products have helped transform my hair. It looks and feels healthier than it’s ever been. Ada’s knowledge and passion for hair care came into my life at a time when it was much needed. I’m very thankful to have met Ada and George.
Aziz is one of the best barbers I known him for years since I was a kid. He does a good job at cutting hair for a person that works everyday and by himself. I give him a good rating 5 stars. He is the best and he will know your style. He has a good seating area and entertainment. He even plays slow and soft music to calm your stress and bad days. He would also open conversation with you to keep you entertained.

Solid threading spot located in upper Astoria. I feel like I'm cheating on my go-to threading lady whenever I come here, but she's closer to where my older apartment was and sometimes I just can't make the hike. This place is a good option for me in a pinch. The price is fair, and they do a good job, but they don't trim the tops of my eyebrows or brush them out the way my go-to spot does. It's a small salon with just two chairs, so you may need to wait if they're busy. Something worth noting about the salons up here (this one and Bry's nails around the corner), they do lock their doors even when they're open for safety purposes. It sucks that female-owned businesses up here have to do that, but with William H Bryant across the street there are just a swarm of bored teenagers with nothing better to do than be obnoxious to these ladies, unfortunately. All that said, I've never felt unsafe here. Just something to be aware of if you're stopping in and aren't a regular.

Orinda has been doing my hair for years. I love her work and she never disappoints. I love changing my hair color and she always manages to get me the color I always want and does not damage my hair. I love how careful she is with coloring. She is the only person I trust with my hair. My hair always feels so healthy after and so shiny. Shes truly the best.

However, he gave me unsolicited advice about my hair and I believe very strongly it’s important to treat customers with empathy and compassion and create a positive environment. I believe one must be respectful and kind to customers so they feel comfortable. But I definitely will be back again- he is an expert at what he does.

I am only a few days away from my wedding but I wanted to treat myself to a massage and a gentle facial. I know its not recommended to do any new treatments so close to the wedding but I figured I could do something gentle and moisturizing.
I was originally considering the glow and go, but ended up doing the hydro oxygenating facial at the recommendation of the technician.
I came out looking like I had Korean glass skin for the first time in my life!! Even the very lovely woman at the front desk exclaimed how shiny I looked hahaha!
I was worried that maybe the next day I would have some breaking out, but my skin still looks shiny and feels very smooth.
The place is very clean and the interior is decorated well. I had no idea such an oasis existed in Astoria!
Massage was good too. Not particularly outstanding. I wish the walls were just a bit thicker to dull down some of the noises from other rooms. But other than that, I felt very relaxed afterwards.
The robes are super comfy.
I would definitely go back and bring everyone I can with me!

This was my first ever tattoo which mad be nervous but Johan, the one who did my tattoo was very nice and open about the tattoo I was going to do and he did it exactly like I showed him in the photo, it came out perfect and the place is very nice definitely recommend .

I never write reviews, however , Steinway Family Dental on Steinway street, Astoria . is absolutely worth the time to write about it.. I’ve been afraid of dentists my whole life. So naturally I was nervous when I went to see doctor Day for a cavity . Dr Day used a laser machine …NO INJECTION! And within 10-15 mts I was done’. NO PAIN ! NO DISCONFORT! Unbelievable !!! I will recommend and encourage everyone! specially if you are afraid of the regular dentist experience to visit Steinway Family Dental..This place will stop your fear .

Katherine is an amazing woman & an amazing acupuncturist. She truly takes care of her patients & makes them feel better. She is a awesome person to have as your acupuncturist, there are a lot of other acupuncturist places but this one stands out & that is why I strongly suggest this place & to at least give it a chance guarantee you this won’t be a mistake. Been her patient for over 10 years & I won’t choose a different acupuncturist even if I was offered a million dollars. Don’t believe me see for yourself I urge you to try Scofield Acupuncture.
Dr. Moon has helped my family greatly with various issues. He is persistent to find a treatment for your problem. The treatment I received resolved my jaw pain issue to the point that I’m pain free and no longer need a night guard. The treatment has also improved my insomnia problems.
