“Rarely do I post a review, but I felt obligated to share Bear's success story, and maybe help other dog's an their parents. After repeated visits to our regular vet., and Bear still scratching and keeping me up at night, I decided I needed to do some homework and see if there was such thing as a veterinary dermatologist, and guess what, there is, that would be Dr. Jeanne Budgin, on the upper west side, not to far from Bear and me. I have to tell everyone how happy we are that we saw Dr. Budgin and her dedicated, wonderful team, so informative, and kind, they took such a detailed history about Bear! After a few tests, and some medication for Bear, I'm actually sleeping at night! Bear's happier too, not scratching all of the time. Bear and I thank you! Dr. Budgin and her team are awesome, I highly recommend them.“

“I had a great experience with the staff at Greenwich Animal Hospital. I was dog sitting my daughter’s dog and he needed to go back to the vet at Greenwich Hospital to have his ears repacked. Sonny is quite a large dog. Once I arrived, I called in and Vitally came out and helped me get Sonny out of the car. He let Son stopped and smell the roses and then took him right in and took care of his ears. While I waited, the front desk, girl was amazingly personable. Once Vitally brought Sonny back out of the room, he helped me put him back in the car. I was eternally grateful. It was such a smooth transition from one step to another. The place is immaculate. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Thank you for that.“

In this age of veterinary practices being taken over by big corporates, it's so nice to still have doctors like Dr. Lovisa who takes the time to personally connect with her patients and genuinely care about the animals.Multiple times she offered treatment, and recommended specialized diet based on newest research which resulted in significant improvement in my dogs' quality of life.During an emergency, I was able to reach her and ask for advice. She was the only one I trusted with my dogs and as always, she came through for us. Even afterwards, she took the time to write me few emails and even a personal note after the passing of one of my dogs. “Dr Barotz is a real find. She is the best of both worlds; a Cornell Vet school graduate and extremely knowledgeable in a Chinese medicine approach. She believes in both, each complimenting and supporting the other. That's what I wanted and need for my best friend and little boy, Trooper. On top of that, she is happy to work with a patients' regular Vet and studies their medical records thoroughly. She has a gentle, caring manner and spends the time to fully explain her analysis, opinions and reasons for her recommendations. Dr Barotz has a 360 degree approach and the education, knowledge and experience to carry it out. I am so very happy to have her at our side through what is a very tough time. My Trooper has liver cancer. Thanks to her, I have a much better understanding of how I can give Trooper's body more support and comfort, as well as other options I might have for his care. I wish I had known her when I first adopted Trooper 11 years ago, through sickness AND health. I think we can take better care of our little friends with her full approach.“

“This is a very kind and casual vet. Really lovely people front to back. The only downside is how busy they stay. This is at least partly because they always give you the time and attention that you and your pet need when they're with you. But they do a great job of managing the chaos and getting to everyone eventually. They so clearly love your pets too.“

“I changed from Yorktown Animal Hospital to Thornwood Animal Hospital due to the distance from my home, and it has proven to be the best choice for my pup. Dr. Patel and the staff are fantastic, caring, and always create a positive atmosphere. My dog usually gets anxious at the vet, but here he appears to be at ease and even enjoys the visits. The level of professional care is exceptional. When my pup fell ill, Dr. Patel personally called me with the analysis results and has consistently been available when needed. Without a doubt, it's the best veterinary hospital I've experienced. Outstanding work and service!“

Additionally, she is so kind, supportive, and very careful in terms of her opinion on a specific medical issue. Gratefully, she is not an alarmist, but instead, explains issues with the utmost care and understanding of the pet owner’s needs. Dr. Ghersini also communicates via email almost instantaneously which is so comforting when you are concerned about your pet. My 13 ½ and 11 ½ year old dogs run to her when she comes to our house! She is truly gifted in her knowledge, approach, and competency. You would be truly lucky to have Dr. Ghersini take care of your pets in your home, no less!“

And at our request, he came to our house to put her down, and the procedure was so peaceful and calming for our darling dog. I would recommend him without hesitation.“

“My older guinea pig was in GI stasis when I brought him in, a life threatening condition. Fortunately I was able to get an emergency appointment right away. Dr. Marion has a very nice manner, sympathetic but honest. He was able to do blood work and xrays without sedating him and we left with Critical Care and many medicines. They recommended an ultrasound, which found some underlying conditions, but for right now he has made a good recovery. Yes, it was expensive, but I was very happy with the treatment we received.“
