I had an issue with a considerable amount of water getting into my basement, especially after the big rains in September of 2023, so I contacted several waterproofing companies.
Without question, Joe from A.M. Shield was the kindest, most honest, understanding, and professional of everyone I spoke to. He clearly explained what my options were and was willing to work with me and adjust the job proposal until we found the perfect solution for both my problem and my budget.
A.M. Shield came a few weeks later, excavated in front of my house, filling in the cracks they found in my foundation, sealing it with a Tegra-Tite membrane, and neatly restoring the flower beds to their original state (including replanting our shrubs).
Fast forward nearly 5 months and several heavy storms and we haven't had a drop of water in our basement!
As an additional testament to the integrity of the company, I discovered three months later that one of the valves for my sprinkler system was damaged by the excavation. A.M. Shield immediately mailed me a check and covered the cost of the repair.
I absolutely will be using A.M. Shield again in the future and couldn't recommend them highly enough! It's been life changing not having to worry about water getting in and under my floor again!

I don't often write reviews, but when a locale and its staff treats one like a human being, a cared for customer, and a family member as others have mentioned here, I feel I must go out of my way to let others know that if you are planning on doing any event, THIS IS IT! The VFW is like no other. Between coordinating and getting quick responses with Eha, getting help from Wilmer, Rachel, Pablo, Michael and the rest of the staff, and Bob's bartending skills, everything was top notch and these individuals are true professionals, you can tell by their actions that they wanted us to have nothing short of an amazing time. My wife and I had our reception at this VFW with about 120+ guests, food is handled and provided by Felico's Catering. Everyone I asked raved about the food, they said it was delicious and that the drinks were perfect. The place is clean and very flexible with our requests, just please make sure to clearly communicate with them. Thank you VFW 5253 and Felico's Catering!

Sivilli Contracting is in the process of working with my General Contractor in building a home in Atlantic Beach, New York. The complexity of this project is almost unexplainable since the house is being built next to an open bay. In order to get out of the ground, there was a dewatering system set up, more than 100 piles installed, significant waterproofing as well as a 24” slab and 12” foundation walls. In addition, before any of this work started, the demolition of a home, cabana and pool took place. Sivilli has been doing all of this work and has done an unbelievable job. I have found them to be responsive as well as extremely diligent. The owner of the company, Joe Sivilli, is extremely thorough and has thought out every aspect of this process. What impressed me the most is that I have seen Joe jump on a machine if necessary and have also seen Joe stand side by side with his guys helping on any aspect of the job. I would unequivocally Sivilli without hesitation.

I am blown away by the knowledge and professionalism demonstrated by Briana here at Pure Laser Skin Care. In addition to truly mastering her craft, she is kind, patient and wholeheartedly enjoys what she does. I am so happy to have found a salon that makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. I've seen immediate results from my laser sessions and cannot wait to get back on the table for facial, gua sha, and dermaplaning. I travel about 30 minutes (one way) to receive the care Briana delivers and it's worth every minute. The only regret you'll have is not booking sooner!

I love that Dom moved Bogart’s to this location. I’ve been going to Dom for about 20 years now. He is a consummate professional but he’s also friendly, funny and he’s been my friend for a while now. Been going here for over a decade. Just thought of writing this review. They are great. Customer service at 100%. Husband and wife are very hard working. (Small business for the win) They even can dry clean hats and shoes like Yeezy or Ugg’s. Can’t beat the price on those. If anything is an issue they will take care of it immediately. Diane is a wonderful hair-cutter. She uses the Deva method for cutting curly hair and since she has curly hair herself, she knows exactly what a good curly haircut should be. She actually cuts one curl at a time and gave me the best haircut I've had in years. The salon is lovely, clean and modern without being flashy.

I am a 58 year old woman trying to age gracefully. The non-invasive procedures offered by Omage Spa help me reverse years of sun damage. In only three sessions using state of the art laser, most of the sun spots on my face have disappeared. My skin looks healthy and refreshed. Highly recommend all treatments on the menu.
I had a wonderful experience with Albert and his workers. Albert and his workers could not have been nicer. I called a landscaper prior to Albert for an estimate and he was charging much more. Albert is honest and reliable. I had a problem and he came back right away and fixed it. I feel very fortunate that I found him.

Sal and Antoinette are amazing. I used to go here as a kid but then moved out of long island. When I moved back I was going somewhere else that I wasn't happy with and I decided why not try them again and I was not disappointed. They provide great haircuts and service at a very reasonable price.

Forever nails is the best. I have been going there for years. I highly recommend them. The owner is Incredibly nice. My Mother used to go there as well, but can no longer go due to her health. The owner always asks me about her. Such a kind and sincere lady the owner is. She truly cares about her customers and her nail salon is very nice. She also does my eyebrow waxing and she does them just right:)

Sam is a master at coloring, cutting/styling and blow outs. I have been going to him for five years and each time I walk out after my appointment, I feel amazing. I get so many compliments on the color, the cut and the blowouts. Sam helped me after I was ill and lost a lot of my hair. He made me feel good about myself during the entire regrowth and I attribute my healthy and shiny hair to him and his expertise…never, ever going anywhere else. A million and one thanks Sam!!

I’ve been coming to Lovely Lashes for about 5 years now, first at the Great Neck and now at Albetson’s location. My lash technician, Kate at the Albertson location has always been polite and professional with me. I’m a consistent customer and I am never disappointed. In fact, I’ve received many compliments on how lush and natural they look. I find the pricing fair and appointment reminders helpful.
My go to spot when I need to get my hair done. I don't even live in Long Island anymore but there are only a few places I feel comfortable getting my hair done. Had a balayage done for the first time by the colorist Gabriella. Since my hair is so dark I wasn't sure how it would come out. She was very honest & committed to the process. My hair came out so much better than I expected & visioned. This location is kept clean, has great products they use on the hair and parking. Anyone I've had there has always been very nice and always done a great job with my hair. The before is from me not having gone in almost a year since I don't live in the area anymore.

This nail salon is absolutely wonderful! Their pedicures are fabulous whether it’s a regular one or treating myself to a spa pedicure! They do a fantastic manicure. I love their powder gel French manicures as they look so pretty and even better they last for 3 weeks! Their prices are VERY reasonable too! The owner Lilly, is very professional and HONEST and just wants her customers to be happy. Ee-wah, Angel and Jessie are great at their jobs and always have a smile on their faces! Once I found this salon 4 years ago I haven’t gone anywhere else! Trust me…. You won’t be disappointed!
