Yikes. I called after reading Corinne's nice review. Before I could even tell the person on the other end of the phone what I was calling for, she told me it would be $100+ to even look at the computer, ~100 PER HOUR that they worked on it after that, and on top of that any cost of parts. When I explained that I would simply like a quote to decide if I would even like to bring my computer into Gig Computer (or Systems as their automated phone system calls it), she said they couldn't give me a quote over the phone at the moment and that I could not give her an email to send a quote to. Horrible service that doesn't bother to listen to what you want before starting to tally how much they want you to pay them.

Gig offered me a better job, so I put in my 3 weeks notice (required by my previous employer). Had my last day on Wednesday. Today is Thursday. I was going to start here on Monday. They just called me to let me know that they are rescinding the job offer due to 'accounting issues'. Of course, I had already signed the resignation paperwork at my last job, yesterday, so I'm now out of work. Nice! Very professional. Is this how you run your business, too? Stay far away.

This company seems to be a perpetual start-up with that has failed to achieve maturity. They will seemingly extort funds in whatever way possible, even if it is illegal or immoral.I even had to file a report with the FCC because they refused to port a phone number. I've never dealt with a more insensitive and disrespectful organization than Gig.I highly recommend getting a second quote or opinion to all interested parties before conducting business with Gig. And make sure if you do business with them to sign an NDA.
