Very skeptical at first, to be honest, it's a very old school place. They definitely picked the right girl at the front desk, extremely knowledgeable and bubbly personality! I came in unannounced, was really just curious due to the fact that mark twain used to go there. The frontdesk lady was very informative and find a way to booked me in eventhough it's an extremely busy week fully booked. Yall! I was blown away! There really something in the water that simply cannot be explained! Extremely relaxing and i literally fell asleep while soaked! It's something that even the 5 star spas I used to go cannot matched! I booked a 1 hour and I will for sure! Booked a two hour next time. Felt so relaxed with the eucalyptus oil that after the trip here I canceled all my day plans and went straight back to hotel and slept the entire day! A must try! Forget all the skepticism that it's an old place, run down or even the pricing, hey take it from me, if I find value in this place compare to the other fancy spas I went that tells you that something about this place special. SOMETHING IN THE WATER IS REAL!
Excellent experience! Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and inviting, and the soak was bliss. I come to Reno every couple of weeks on business and will be making time for a visit to Steamboat Hot Springs every time I'm there.
My husband and I popped in on a whim Sunday late AM. The girl at the front desk (I totally blanked on her name!) was so sweet, bubbly and informative. We were fingers crossed hoping for a last minute reservation opening and boom! We got one. You get to pick an essential oil sent for free and other add ons which cost money. You can rent a towel for $3 or bring your own. We rented towels. We paid for one hour which was $55. Would could do 30, 60, 90 or 120 min. Our room was private. It was decent sized. Water, cold towels provided. Large shower area was private too. Clothing optional in the private room. I was so relaxed. Hubs was relaxed, too. The mineral water was soothing and made our skin feel good ! Amazingly relaxing and the girl at the front desk was so kind and knowledgeable and didn't get irritated as I asked 20 questions!
