Shannon at the South Reno location was literally one of the best people I’ve ever met. She opened my mind to the best thing you can do for your life - think of the worst possible scenario and think of the options that you have from there. Never lose hope that you can change your life and recover from abuse beyond your comprehension. You can save your life by yourself if you have to. People only have power over you if you let them have it. Believe actions, not words. Master the masculine in yourself if you are a woman. Nurture the feminine in yourself if you are a man. I most sincerely recommend this practice. Angie has seen me through some very difficult times. She is always relaxed and unassuming, but she knows what to say and the questions to ask at just the right time. Astute, assertive, intelligent and expressive, she is the ideal helper for me. I have recommended Midtown Mindfulness to many individuals and to my PCP’s office for referrals. I’m so proud to see the practice grow and expand.
I received an email about a free mindfulness meditation session. The email came from an instructor I had at UNR that teaches Mindful Leadership. I've been trying to turn things around in my life lately so this came at a perfect time. This free, one hour session runs at 5pm on the third Wednesday of each month. I arrived and entered the building from the back and could easily see where the session was being held. I took a seat as people started filing in. There were probably about 12-15 of us.
