“HAL Mechanical and John Becker provided exceptional service! We had air conditioner issues with a noisy blower and concerns about the air conditioning unit. John arrived on time introduced himself and was very clean and courteous. John determined that the blower motor was the problem. But rather than disconnecting everything and ordering a new unit and saying I’ll be back in a couple of days with a replacement unit, he took the unit out examined it and made repairs on site! He realized the blower motor had a loose shaft nut. He made the repairs while suffering through 140°+ in our attic. John made the repairs, reinstalled the blower motor and then checked the refrigerant level. Once he was comfortable with the refrigerant level and AC output, he showed us all the repairs satisfying our concerns. Our AC is now working again efficiently and the repairs were made with minimal intrusion and done quickly. If I could give this guy 10 stars I would!“

Thank goodness I live downstairs....so it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but Vegas heat is always bad.I needed to get my A/C fixed right away, but I am weary of all these big companies taking advantage of desperate people, by jacking up their prices, or selling you things you don't need.I heard about Valdez appliance service and decided to give him a call. I've been doing electronics for over 30-years, and although I'm not an A/C tech, I'm not lost as to what is involved....so when I would talk to him about what I thought I might need, he didn't go into a sales pitch.Abel told me my thoughts were on the right track, but he'd still have to check to be sure what's going on. I asked what the cost would be if it were a bad capacitor, or bad motor and he gave me prices for both.BOTH prices were WAY lower than the bigger companies that always upsell you, and pressure you into paying for services you don't need.Not Abel. He figured out what the issue was, fixed it, and his price was exactly what he initially quoted me.I am CERTAIN the bigger named companies would have charged me 2-3 times more than what Abel did. And that's not to say he's cheap, but he's fair....and even more importantly, he's HONEST!!Now my house is cool again, and based on the look of the new parts he put on, I should be good to go for another 5-8 years.Sad I had to spend the money, but happy it was spent with the right person.No buyer's remorse.
