“We reached out to several companies regarding landscaping our lot for our new home in Dayton, and we are very happy we selected Tom Ediss Landscape, Inc. From our first meeting with Tom in October 2023, we just “clicked”. After a couple of meetings to discuss how we would use our yard and walking through the yard with Tom, he presented us with a plan of our yard that exceeded our expectations. Construction began in mid-February 2024, and we were very impressed with Rickey and his expertise at coordinating the project. He kept us informed every step of the way and included us in all decisions that came up during the construction. The foreman – Eduardo – and the crew were amazing! They were very detailed and precise throughout all phases of the project – especially with the construction of the retaining walls, stairway, and paver patios. We were grateful that Eduardo was able to anticipate the minor issues that came up during construction - like the grading that required adding a step in the patio and the addition of the control valves in each planter box. He worked with Rickey to develop a plan to quickly resolve any issues and construction went very smoothly. We are thankful that Rickey coordinated the timeline and construction with Bill at Shade Concepts so that the construction of the patio cover went smoothly as well. The most exciting part of the project was when the plants arrived and when Tom came to locate the plants and the crew planted them. The transformation was awesome! The project turned out better than we ever imagined, and we are excited to be able to spend time in our new paradise! Ed's team originally removed a 30 foot tree between my house and a neighbor's house with no damage to either house or the shrubbery. While complimenting him on the job. I mentioned that my paver driveway was sinking in spots (tire track areas). He said that he installed and repaired pavers and gave me a very competitive bid as compared with two others that I had already obtained. I gave Ed's Landscaping the driveway job. All the pavers were removed, cleaned and replaced. Polymetric sand was used between the pavers to help stabilize them and limit water penetration. Prior to the paver replacement, the sandy subsurface was removed and replaced with stone and thoroughly compacted to prevent a recurrence of the sinking pavers. My 16 year old driveway looks brand new today. I was so pleased with Ed's Landscaping's work that I signed up for weekly yard service in March.“
