From one visit, I'd say this is the place I would take a pet you're concerned about in Santa Fe. After multiple visits to eldorado vet and Route 66 in ABQ, it continually felt like no one was even looking at the tests and images they took and charged me for. At the time of writing this, the best way to have a pet seen is to show up and be ready to be admitted at 7:30am. Due to their corporate ownership they are understaffed, like all of the vets in Santa Fe. A huge thank you to Smith Veterinary Hospital for saving our dog's life! Our vet and staff were caring, compassionate and highly professional. This clinic deserves 5 stars across the board.

My elderly dog came down with acute pancreatitis and my regular vet couldn't work him in. I called Smith's and they told me to bring him in asap. Everyone from the receptionists, vet techs and then the doctors were caring and worked quickly to diagnose him and start treatment. He was hospitalized for two days, and it was touch and go, but their treatment plan was ultimately successful and my boy is back home. I am incredibly grateful to the entire staff for all their hard work.
