Micah does such wonderful work and she really cares about your dog and their comfort level. She will send you home with things to work on with your dog if they’re uneasy during their appt. I will NEVER take my poodle anywhere else to get groomed in Santa Fe. She’s top notch and does a beautiful very meticulous job. You will be very pleased with Micah at The dog Different. As I said, she’s reasonable and very caring.

I had taken my dogs to her before and loved my experience. But when I asked her to shave my chow dog (not really short) again, he was 15 years old and has had this done his entire life because of ongoing skin problems which made brushing him painful she became instantly rude, basically threw my poor baby off of the table, and told me to get out. The places where she had brushed him he was bleeding.I understand the reasons for not shaving dogs and I usually agree, but in this case it’s what was best for my dog and secondly, I wanted her to only shave a little, leaving his fur a little longer. I wish I had gone through the ratings before I took my dog here. This woman is dangerous. I generally have a strong sense of “gut” intuition & should have listened. I remember after my 1st visit I mentioned to my daughter that I felt there was something strange about this groomer. She did a reasonable job on the grooming but then called me at home twice afterward. I had the feeling she was needy or something. I texted her for my next appt & showed up at the appointed time.
