From Strata Gallery
Our Mission: Strata Gallery is a non-profit member gallery that seeks to showcase the work of internationally established artists whose development has typically followed trajectories tangential to prevalent avant-garde trends. It also showcases the work of promising emerging artists who otherwise struggle for gallery exposure, as their work is also at variance with those same trends. To some degree the example of these established artists validates the promise of those who are still emergent, and the gallery encourages loose creative partnerships between these two groups. Strata avoids favoring any distinct style and promotes a range of authentic individual expression embodying diverse material practices, imagery, style, and ethos.

I don’t write reviews very often, but I felt encouraged to compliment the Strata Gallery, for its friendly and inviting atmosphere, cleanliness, and, of course, the artistic talent on display across the walls of the gallery.From the moment I entered the establishment, I was struck by how kind and welcoming the staff were, all with greetings and smiles and a clear availability for my needs as a patron. They patiently answered questions I had about the photography and art on display and came off as exceptionally informed about the content, as if they had taken the time and care to develop a personal connection with the work they were showing off.
