The dentist tried to sell me dental implants that would have cost $50,000.00. When I refused, he suggested that I must not have good credit. He suggested another, very expensive procedure. When I asked another dentist, they told me that the other procedure would have very bad outcomes. I'm really glad I didn't listen to this extremely dishonest, unethical person.
I have a severely compromised bone condition and this clinic was the only one that would even try to accommodate me. It was a success and I still have teeth a year later. Thank you!!!
I'm so unhappy with my full implant (upper, all-on-4). I hate my smile. Hate it. This was a long, drawn-out experience simply because I had to get bone grafts for my upper implant. This is of no fault of Dr Norby, it just had to be done. The grafts took over a year before I was able to have my implant attached -- I had to wear temporary dentures and that was awful! It's just the way it works - temporaries are exactly that... temporary. So they don't fit very well. So when I could finally have my implant attached, I was so excited! I hated the shape of my temporaries - they were small. Almost like children's teeth. I asked Dr Norby if the company creating my implant can shape them per my request and he told me they could. I provided a couple photos of me where you could see my teeth. I had a great smile, my teeth were just soft and becoming very loose. I printed off the photos and gave them to Dr Norby and asked him to send it to whoever makes the implants so they could make the model to look as close to my teeth as possible. That was absolutely not done. I seriously doubt that Dr Norby even forwarded the photos to the implant-maker. When I went in to get my implant put in, that was the first I saw them. I did not like them but I wanted to get rid of the temporary denture so badly, I told myself they would be fine. They were better shaped than my temporary denture, anyway. Now it's 2 years later and I absolutely hate my smile. Hate it. My front teeth are much too small. And the shape looks like cheap dentures. Too uniform. I love the whiteness as I did want the whitest teeth possible, but the shape.... Looking back, I probably shouldn't have had the final implant put in. Instead sending it back for them to redo per my request. For a while, I assumed that maybe the implant-maker cannot do a "custom" shape, but I looked online at other photos of implants and they can make them look much more natural with larger front teeth as they are supposed to be. The implant isn't cheap, and after being unemployed due to the pandemic, my finances are such I cannot afford a replacement. So I have to live with these. I don't look at myself very often in the mirror as I hate how I look. I look toothless when my mouth is close. The size of this implant is so wrong. And when I smile, my teeth look so fake - like very cheap dentures. I will say that other than how they look, I love my implants. It's wonderful to be able to eat anything again. My teeth were so lose, I could only eat very soft food. But I hate my smile because of Dr Norby not forwarding my photos to the implant-maker and having them design my implant teeth to look like my actual teeth.
