“Bergen Backyard LLC was one of many contractors I invited to provide estimates for replacing my 34 year-old, 34'x16' wolmanized wood deck with a new composite deck.Kevin responded quickly with an estimate and revised estimates as I explored design alternatives until a final design was reached. He provided color samples of Wolf Decking (which I had never heard of) and explained the pros/cons of the various decking products on the market. We selected the Wolf products and the two tone design looks absolutely beautiful using the Camo hidden deck fastener system since not a single screw is visible on the surface.From the day I first met Kevin until the end of the project, he and his team were punctual, courteous, and truly professional craftsmen that take great pride in their work and ensuring customer satisfaction with the final product.At the end of each day they spent time cleaning up and left the job site neat. Kevin kept us well informed of his progress and what was to be completed by when. He had estimated two weeks start-to-finish, and even with a few early January weather delays, the entire project was completed in 11 days. He handled the entire project obtaining required permits, just-in-time delivery of materials, scheduled and passed all the required inspections without any issues. “Very pleasant group of people with whom to deal. This summer they replaced my 25-year old roof and accomplished it in a single day. The work itself is messy, but they did everything possible to accomplish it in a tidy fashion. The price was very competitive too.

Additionally, they replaced my exterior wood deck that was also original to the home and 25-years old with a synthetic deck. This work was also accomplished in a single day.

Both jobs had issues along the way, but this company addressed them all effectively. The synthetic deck has one such issue remaining, as one of the railings was slightly scarred coming right out of the manufacturer's packaging.

I am waiting for a replacement part to reach this contractor and for them to replace the single railing. This will be happening later this week.

Normally, I'd have concern about getting this replacement addressed. However, given their conduct through the two jobs, as well as offering that I hold back an adequate sum from the total cost until they make the replacement, I have comfort and confidence they will follow through.“

“Mark has done numerous projects at our house. His craftsmanship is undeniable. The molding he put around our house is seamless. We had uneven ceilings and bumpy walls, yet he made everything look straight and even. It transformed our home.
