“Just had our first visit and I am blown away!!! My 70-lb bully mix, Ferdinand, absolutely hates vet visits and this is the only office that made him feel comfortable enough to even be touched. Dr. East & Jessica were incredibly kind and understanding, even when Ferdie started to act out which I felt so bad about. He didn't need a muzzle during the exam which was shocking because we've tried 4 other vets in the city this year alone, and none of them were able to lay a single finger on him. Dr. East & Jessica sat on the floor with Ferdie and were super reassuring with him the entire time. Even when he started to snap at them, they were so calm and patient as opposed to all the other vets we've tried who got offended and refused to try comforting him. You can tell they truly love animals and had my dog's best interests in mind. The ladies at the front desk were also so lovely. Would highly recommend to anyone on the search for a new vet, especially if you have an anxious baby like mine. I am so grateful I found this office - finally one that I trust and plan to go back to. “I can't recommend Deanne enough. 4 months ago, I adopted a 5-month old puppy who had no prior training and severe leash reactivity to both dogs and people. Through working with Deanne, he now has a strong foundation in training and can walk through busy NYC streets with few issues. He also LOVES Deanne and her training sessions. Her love for dogs is so evident. Deanne focuses not only on dog training, but also on giving owners the tools they need to continue training in between sessions. She writes detailed summaries with instructions on how to progress further, and I have learned so much about dog training and behavior through her, even as a lifetime dog owner. Deanne uses a science-backed positive reinforcement approach which has been great in helping my nervous rescue pup build confidence. “CCA have been fantastic for us with our bike reactive dog Ginny. We used their remote private training since we weren't in NY and it was still better than other trainers we've worked with in person. They're easily the most organized, they have amazing content, and they give you training tools that are easy to generalize to new issues that may pop up. Highly recommend“

“My dogs have been coming here since they were pups. They're always very accommodating and have cute events for pictures with the dogs. The staff is always friendly and remembers my dogs even if I haven't visited in a while. They also take pictures and posts on their facebook page daily for all to view. Only improvement of the place would be if they had a live camera so I can peek in on my dogs midday because I miss them!“

“I reached out to Behavior Plus when I first took in my foster (now my foster fail)dog. I couldn’t walk this dog without holding a telephone pole or tree if he seen another dog, he would pull you down. I’ve been working with Jack and Frank in their Caldwell location. Jack has been nothing but patient, easy going and always available to answer a question. My dog has made a complete turnaround, I cannot recommend Behavior Plus enough be patient and you’ll see the results.“

“As a professional certified trainer and AKC Evaluator, I see many dog handlers and professional walkers. Most of them I almost can't watch as they pay no attention to their pack. These ladies are proper handlers, love dogs and are super conscientious. The only reason I would consider offering board and train is because I will trust these ladies to properly keep the dogs while they are in a board & train two-week protocol. I know that not only are they seasoned dog people, but they love what they do!“

“I can't say enough about how wonderful Fur Seasons is. Everyone takes such great care of my fur baby Star. Nese, the owner, is literally a dog whisperer. Star is in love with her, Tom, Belinda, and everyone else there. Star was one of the first clients when Fur Seasons opened, and seeing her excitement whenever we pull up says it all!“

“My husband and I could not recommend Dog City enough. Our Golden Doodle, Carlos, began going to “school” at Dog City starting at 6 months old during the week and sometimes stay at “The Inn” for boarding. Carlos was so happy and excited to go every day and loved his Dog City family. Even better, we were residents at The Tate in Chelsea and benefited from Carlos being picked up and dropped off each day. We felt so happy and calm to be able to have Carlos there while we were at work or traveling. Dog City gave us daily report cards with pictures and updates that we always looked forward to! Carlos made many friends, both dog and human, and Carlos is a better socialized dog because of his time spent at Dog City.

Our experience with Dog City was truly great and we would recommend it to anyone looking for day care or boarding for their dog in NYC.“
