I contacted the company and they explained that the gift was shipped out at the right time to be delivered on the date I requested but the UPS had delayed the delivery. They also apologized for the gift arriving damaged. Even though it wasn't their fault, they still send out a new gift to my recipient and also refunded the shipping on paid for that gift.
