“I’m not picky about my hair so I love the convenience of getting my hair done here (my usual is an overall trim, trim my side bangs, and keeping my long layers which almost every employee has been able to do just fine). Employees are usually very nice.
But be wary of the app - I thought you added yourself to the waitlist, and waited in line until it said they were 15 minutes left and you could go and check in in-person (meanwhile being able to do whatever in the meantime because the app kept you notified of how much time was left). I thought there was a glitch a couple of times because I got kicked off the waitlist and had to read-add myself. Turns out it’s the employees who take me off because they see I haven’t arrived within a certain time of being on the waitlist. I thought the point of the waitlist was to wait until you were the next person in line and then to go in when it was your allotted time. I didn’t realize the employees just picked whoever checked in in-person first over who is technically next on the list.
This happened today and the first time I put myself on the waitlist it was a 60 minute wait, so I went shopping and did other things waiting until I had 15 minutes until it was my time and I would get notified to go check in in-person. At about the 20 minute mark, I saw that I had been taken off of the list and that it would be a 95 minute wait now. I panicked a little, but still added myself to the waitlist because I needed to get my hair done today. This time I didn’t wait and immediately checked in in-person even though the app said it would be 90 minutes. When I did this, I immediately became the next person to get my haircut done so I ended up only having to wait like 5 minutes. So it was nice I didn’t have to wait an hour and a half, but I feel bad for the people on the waitlist ahead of me who should have gotten first dibs and were probably also waiting for their notification to go check in in-person. I think this just needs to be made clear in the app or the employees need to get retrained and how the app works.“
