My backyard is a blank canvas so I'd imagine that I would have a covered deck/sort of an extension of our indoor living space. I wanted a dream outdoor space. I found Active Hammer Home Improvement via Facebook. I checked out their website and saw a deck they build that was similar to what I wanted. I called Garry for a free consultation and there was something about him that made me and my husband feel comfortable. We had a good feeling about him. The final design was a little different than what I initially wanted (which was out of Garry's control). I wasn't able to get a fully covered deck but Garry assured me that the partial covered deck will be just as beautiful. The process made me very anxious but Garry made sure to explain every step. Garry and his crew were very professional. Everything was cleaned when the project was completed. Regarding payments - Garry will work with you and I believe there is a discount for military families (but you should definitely confirm). We did 50% down, then 50% of the remaining balance, then 50% of that remaining balance and so forth and so forth. Active Hammer did an amazing job (as you can see from the pictures/videos). I definitely recommend them if you are looking to renovate your home.

Gary and his team did our deck last month and we are very happy with it! He beat out his competitors prices, and was reliable. He was very responsive and completed the project within 3 days. I highly recommend him!

Active Hammer Home Improvements, LLC does an absolutely amazing job! Garry has always been nothing short of professional and a master at his craft. I’ve called on Garry a few times to complete home improvements for me. Each and every time something seems huge and major to me, Mr. Dodd has been able to fix any problem that I’ve had in my home. He tells me exactly what is needed. Garry and his staff re-built my deck and made me a screened in porch. When I tell you it far exceeded what I could imagine. Before he could even finish and all I had was walls, I cried! So now that it is finished, I don’t worry about the bees or mosquitoes and I have sat outside every day!...read full review
