I came to Kiersten to literally “fix” a heavy weighted terrible hair cut and add some color back in the form of a face frame — She is incredibly honest, understands hair and listens to your goals. She transformed my hair. For some context, I’m a south Asian woman with very thick hair and I have incredibly high standards for who I allow to work with my mane. I’m incredible busy and need low maintenance high styling in one go! After being so let down by Monmouth county salons, I was so relieved to find someone who was honest about color theory and maintaining the integrity of my hair. The salon has an incredible vibe and cares for the clients with fun loving energy. I’ve also come to Sarah for blowouts — she’s incredible and knows how to build volume! My husband began going to Highlights when Super Storm Sandy wiped out his local barber shop and he loves it. The stylists are very talented because I have changed up my hair style so many times and I am always awed by the result! “I called Lauryn because my skincare obsessed daughter was turning 9 and for her birthday I wanted to get her an age appropriate facial with a tutorial about how she should properly take care of her skin, and which products to use and which to avoid. The only knowledge my daughter had was what her friends have told her that they learned from TikTok.Lauryn was amazing from beginning to end. She planned a wonderful experience for my daughter, complete with balloons which decorated the studio for her birthday. She gave my daughter a wonderful facial and hand massage that did nothing to her delicate, sensitive skin other than make it glow. She also gave her lots of tips and tricks that she could use to care for her skin going forward.My daughter loved it so much and afterward she told me that she thought she needed a facial every month.
