This place is a deplorable excuse for a dentistry practice. I have been going there for over 20 years, and since the Smilest took over the practice, the trajectory downward to atrocious care has been steady. It is sad to have witnessed this. When my partial plate broke it was less than 2 years old. I called expecting help with the repair and got nowhere. Dr. Balis examined the partial and accused me of putting super glue on it. It should be concerning to all that a dentist with experience and education cannot tell the difference between a partial plate with glue and one without glue. The front desk receptionist did not even attempt to manage my issue. She does know how to forward a call, so I guess I can credit her for that skill set. The manager put all the blame on me stating that I should have done something when the partial cracked a few days ago. I know they couldn't possibly care less, but I was able to find a new dental practice immediately. This practice seems to think they are the only ones in the area. They are awful.

Been going here since my teeth grew in as a baby and I am totally beyond aggravated with this place right now! So not accommodating to long loyal patients! And no plan on what to do with staffing issues if someone goes out. First time I was told 8:30 am apt and they called me telling me it was 8 am when I know the lady said 8:30 and I'm still suppose to pay the copay for her mess up? Fine, I was going to let it go as they never even cared to confirm the appointment perusal with me and figured at my new apt I would pay it. Now they had to reschedule which I totally understand but I've already waited about 2 months for new apt and now that my apt is coming up they want to move me out another 2 months? SO NOT ACCOMMODATING TO LONG HISTORY OF PATIENTS!!!

Dr. Applestein is an asshole, is a decent dentist for a procedure, but mocked me because I was on so many medications. I am a licensed medical professional that works in an environment that saves lives in the field and in the hospital, which he didn't know, jackass he is ! This asshole asked me while performing a root canal on one tooth if I'd rather have it extracted, while smiling at me while my mouth was numb and root canal instruments were holding my mouth open inhibiting me to speak properly. Meanwhile we had discussed treatment plans prior to my procedure. I feel that I have to post this now after three years because I felt like I wanted to bitch slap him shortly thereafter. Washington Township Dental has issues, nefarious billing practices and Dickface Applestein. Otherwise decent practice, all other Drs. ARE GREAT ! ! !
