I hired this team to do 4 major jobs: cabinet repainting, existing hardwood floors refinishing, installation of new hardwood floors on another floor, and whole house interior painting. Through out the entire process Shawn and his team remained extremely communicative. This was extremely important to me because you often hear of horror stories of contractors that just disappear on you. Brushhouse is different. There was either texting or a call almost every day (mostly initiated from my end, you could probably do less if you wish). From the initial evaluation till the project completion, I was kept in the loop for every step. I was also able to voice any concerns I had during the process and I got a response always in a more than reasonble time frame. They explained their process to me in detail and made sure to document exactly what I wanted so they could do it to my specifications. They started exactly when they said they would and though technically the project went overtime, I will say it was mostly my fault because I added on a number of things after they had already began. So essentially, they finished on the time that they promised. There were no excuses or disappearances. They were there every day until the project was done. The team worked really hard every day for the whole day. They would arrive at 8am and leave at 5pm. For the most part, they would clean daily as well. I was able to live in the house during the painting parts with minimal efforts from my end to maintain cleanliness. I did have to leave during the floor part because I just could not stand the smell (not their fault, it is just what the chemicals smelled like). The job was done to perfection. So much so that Shawn PERSONALLY scoped out the project on multiple occasions and asked for feedback. If I was unsatisfied with something, either he, or one of just project managers, Jesus, made sure that it was corrected quickly. I must admit, I am very picky but they were willing to do little touch ups here and there for me to my satisfaction because, as mentioned, they just want their clients to be happy. I am extremely satisfied with the end product and the time frame in which they finished the task. The house looks AMAZING and the outcome was very similar to the pictures they place on their social media/yelp/thumbtack. As for pricing, while they leaned just a little more on the pricier side (I did find contractors that priced lower), the value is incredible. Just read what I wrote again. They complete the job to perfection. The have a lifetime guarantee for their interior painting job. They will finish the job in a very reasonable time frame. Once they start, they will keep going until the project is done. That is VERY hard to beat. On one of the final days, Shawn himself pointed out a floor issue (keep in mind they had finished the floor 2 weeks before) that showed up after they finished painting and removed all the coverings on the floor. He volunteered the issue, he volunteered the fix at no extra cost. This is an example of how much they care about their work and their quality. His project manager, Jesus, did a phenomenal job at having his painting team come in and do touch ups for me to my satisfaction. I had left a few bits of tape here and there for spots that I just wanted to be a bit better and his team went above and beyond by going around the house themselves and taking their time to find any other spots that they think could be better. I know because it is all on my security camera. Finally, for combining my projects, I was able to have a conversation with Shawn about discounting the jobs due to the total amount we would give ad he was very reasonable. His focus is on quality and he even said that at a certain price, he would not be able to deliver the quality that he would want to give and that at that point, he would not recommend his company. “I recently had my bathroom renovated by NJ Kitchens and Baths, Inc.. I highly recommend this company for your next renovation.
I had to move out of my condo for my renovation and that was hard for me to do. However, Andrew Koutoudis, proprietor, and his team: Lydia, Darek and Marion made this project so easy for me. While I was away from my home, they sent me pictures of their progress.
I selected my tiles and quartz at the NJ Kitchens and Baths showroom with the help of Lydia, Senior Designer, and Andrew. Then Andrew made me a shopping list for all the plumbing supplies needed for my renovation. The suppliers that Andrew recommended for my purchases were great to work with. Their products were of good quality. I am so glad he made these recommendations.
I knew exactly what vanity I was looking for. I gave Andrew a brochure of a 48" white vanity that was similar to what I had in mind. Andrew did the shopping and found a vanity from a manufacturer that he liked. It was even better! The drawers were deeper and it had a beautiful matching mirror. With the quartz top and hardware that I selected from Andrew's showroom, the vanity looks beautiful. Along with the wall shelves that Andrew suggested, I have so much storage space. I added some decorative baskets and small vases.
Darek and Marion have an excellent work ethic. They work hard and diligently. Even with a supply issue they stayed on target. A small plumbing part had to be replaced at the very end of the project and Darek replaced it on the morning of the 4th of July before I returned home so I had a functional sink.
I moved out on June 10th and returned on July 4th. Their work is amazing!
My bathroom is absolutely beautiful. My neighbors were amazed with the transformation. I have received so many compliments from friends and family.
