This man was the dictionary definition of mansplaining. I've been wearing contacts for 30 years and he patted my leg and told me I didn't know anything. Didn't let me finish a single sentence and took my glasses away when I was asked to take out my contacts for the eye exam. And also gave me the wrong prescription.I got firm when he tried to take my glasses because I am legally blind and can't see anything without them, so I need them as security. He just said that I was making his job difficult.Unfortunately, I have to go back in a week so he can look again, even though I know what my new prescription should be. This is not my first rodeo. But they won't release the prescription until I drive there for another visit. And he even tried to get me to turn in my old optomitrest because of a wrong prescription, which was actually right for the last few years, just changed in the last few months, thus the visit.0/10 - would not recommend
DO NOT GO HERE! I have never thought in a million years that I would be complaining about an eye appointment. My daughter wanted to try contacts and I was told it is $130. fee ON TOP of the exam to take a class on using contacts, and that it was STATE LAW. I've never been a contacts wearer and believed them until I called another place and found out it is included in the price of the exam. To make matters worse, the "Dr." was taking cell phone calls and texts during the exam. I also found him dismissive, and condescending. I decided to ask for our prescriptions and fill them elsewhere. I knew immediately that I would not give that sham of a business a penny more of my money. It is disgusting to treat people this way. if I could have rated no stars, I would have. DO NOT GO HERE!
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Last year I had a contact lens exam with who I would call the nastiest and most unprofessional optometrist I've ever met. I was so uncomfortable that I almost needed to ask the office person to be in the room with me. A few days ago, my husband went in for glasses. We have insurance. He has used single vision lenses for more than ten years. The predatory (and yes, predator is exactly what he was) person who worked with him decided he had to have progressives, didn't explain what that would mean for him and have him no other options. He then charged $129.99 for anti glare which is ridiculous. The bill came out to $700!! He knew my husband didn't really know what questions to ask, he was totally taken advantage of. They didn't use our insurance nor did they give him one of the many promotions we were told they had going on when I had called the day before. When he got home, I immediately called and asked them to cancel the order. The incredibly nasty man who answered told me no, the order had been placed and it was too late. My husband had left twenty minutes earlier, we know nothing had been started. I threatened a chargeback and then they agreed to refund. Naturally, because they're scumbags, no pupillary distance given so we can't get them online. Luckily, Warby Parker will measure for you. I am calling my insurance company and reporting them, as well as the BBB. Two incidents in a year is inexcusable. That one doctor (and I say that in air quotes) should never be allowed to work with the public, especially with women. He should never be left alone with a woman, period. Disgusting.
