“After living in Hopewell for close to 30 years, my wife and I became keenly aware of the fact that there was extensive exterior repairs required to our home. We recognized the importance of working with a building company that would be able to inspect and diagnose issues related to our cedar shake exterior, trim and fascia, roofing, and painting. After exploring several construction and restoration companies, we decided to go with Baxter Construction given their reputation for top notch, project management and a wide range of expertise in many of the skill sets we would require. We were very impressed with their project management from beginning to end of what turned out to become a 6 month project. In working with Baxter, we were additionally comforted by the dedicated staff carpenters that had been with the company for many years. As the weeks and months progressed, Baxter were able to diagnose problems and perform remediations responsibly. We were kept up to date with frequent progress reports from the project manager, and grew to admire the carpenters who explained the details to us along the way. Given the need for carpentry, roofing and painting, Baxter was able to coordinate the process efficiently. This was a challenge given the numerous Covid related supply chain issues we ware experiencing. “All of the above. I called another company, AJ Perry for a service call. They originally installed my system 13 years ago. They told me that my gas valve was defective along with a "fried PC board" & Defective thermostat. $4000.00 Repair bill. They advised to replace the entire system. $21000.00 but they could do it if I agreed to do it on Tuesday because they needed the work for $13000.00..We are close to 80 years old & live on a fixed income. I then called Dennis at Tin Man to check my system. He repaired it in less than 1/2 hour and just charged me a service call. It was a God Send.
