I am surprised to only find one review before mine. Jim Reynolds and his people have done excellent work for us. It was a real treat, in fact, to watch Jim fix a hole in our living room ceiling that had been caused by a leaky radiator on the second floor. Our home is old enough to have plaster walls and ceilings, not drywall, and the repair is absolutely unnoticeable now.
Dec 2013
In early December, we had a substantial leak from a cracked bathtub pipe into an office/den below. Mike from Premier Plumbing & Heating (also excellent - see review) recommended we use Jim Reynolds, owner of Ridgewood Home Maintenance to open up the ceiling. I figured I'd have a hard time getting any contractor to even look at the job on short notice, which required removing office crown moldings and ceiling sheetrock, removing wet insulation, opening up a bathroom wall, identifying source of leak so the plumber could fix it.and then putting in new insulation and sheetrock after the pipe was fixed. Jim was totally responsive, and started the job within a day or two of my calling. He let me know each day when he or his staff would be arriving, returned phone calls and emails, gave me the detailed cost info I needed for insurance, cleaned up when he was done, and even had someone paint the areas that were affected. He could not have been more helpful or professional.
