When it was discovered my little Shih Tzu needed much more help than regular dental cleaning... Dr. Kaplan recognized , diagnosed and completed not one.. but two necessary surgeries. My little fur ball is back home with me now as we continue our lives together. Thank you Dr Kaplan for your warm caring. I am forever grateful.

My dog sawDr. Kaplan at Ramsey veterinary hospital last week. We drove up from New York City to see her for a second opinion. We got stuck in traffic and it took us an hour and a half to get there. I can honestly say it worth the time, and I would do it again. Not only was Dr. Kaplan, warm, reassuring, and understanding, but she was able to resolve what we thought was going to be a very big issue for our dog. The office staff was very accommodating and flexible. After sitting in traffic for so long, we thought we would not make it to our appointment and they saw to it that, we would be able to see the doctor. Yes, we will continue to take the drive from Manhattan to see Dr. Kaplan!

The reason I write this review is to commend Dr. Kaplan, and some of the admin staff and techs who are wonderful like Ellie, and Kristy and Jen. We went to Dr. Lane for years, who was wonderful and were devastated when she left. Dr. Smith had also helped our Mo'Nique but there were a ton of changes when he sold the hospital and there were a lot of staffing changes which was particularly difficult. The compassionate admin staff who knew everyone by name was mostly gone. My dog had been very ill years and they saved her life, which I'll always remember. But I can say that consistently, Dr. Kaplan has always fit in our Mo'Nique and always been there with genuine care, and compassion to help in anyway she can, returning calls and spending a lot of time talking with us, even when things were really crowded and they seemed understaffed. Being a vet is an incredibly difficult job. I am very grateful to have Dr. Kaplan on our team.
