Training4Life Martial Arts Academy is a popular place for children to learn and develop. Kids look forward to their classes each week, enjoying the fun and structured environment created by the dedicated instructors, Mr. L and Mr. D. Parents appreciate how the coaches serve as positive role models, helping children build important skills and confidence. Many children leave with smiles, excited about their progress and the nurturing atmosphere. The academy is highly recommended for its positive impact on children's growth in the community. Children practicing MMA here, including 5-year-olds, find the classes engaging and fun, thanks to the patience and skill of the instructors. The focus on character and discipline makes it a great introduction to martial arts for young kids.
Chris is a fantastic instructor who has created a great training environment. I've trained in martial arts for 10 years now across various gyms/styles and Training4life is by far the most positive and safe group I've had the pleasure of training with. Everyone is genuinely trying to help each other and you'll be hard pressed to find any hint of ego in the training room. I can't say enough about the culture - highly recommend to any size/age/gender/experience level! As for Jiu-Jitsu itself, I've yet to find a workout even half as fun. It's an incredibly engaging physical chess match with near infinite possibilities and no 1 right answer to any particular problem. You'll lose yourself in the fun and before you know it, you'll be in great shape and gain tremendous confidence that will spill into many aspects of your life. It can certainly positively humble you as well, I have ~70lbs on Chris and years of experience under my belt and he is still able to control and submit me many times during our rolls. It feels like magic but it's certainly not. Stop in for a class and you'll be learning and applying effective techniques on day 1!
This place is amazing! Chris L is an awesome instructor and so helpful... everyone wants you to succeed and you feel like family from day one... Love this gym!
