She is also a sweet and kind lady - I witnessed her offering to help a young girl who's hair was a knotty mess - she told the mom it would take too long but she will open her salon on Sunday for her so that she could help. “I am so happy that I went to Sam for my wedding hair. Sam and his team are consummate professionals who are also very kind. I was super stressed out and started crying in the middle of my appointment (lol planning a wedding is not for the weak!) and they were so supportive. I wanted a loose updo that would stand the test of time and many, many hugs- Sam created a super secure low updo that ?did?not?budge?? but LOOKED loose! It was amazing- My wedding day was 1000°, a 75% dew point, and there was a torrential downpour and my hair looked perfect at the end of the night. Even the face framing loose curl was perfect at midnight ( my hair appt was at 10 am). Sam is devoted to his craft and doesn’t take shortcuts- he even came to my house at 7 pm to make sure the veil was put on properly. Sam, I really can’t thank you enough. Aside from the high-quality work they provided to myself, my mom, my MIL and all my bridesmaids, Jillyan is a complete professional and was extremely communicative even prior to hiring her in 2023. Her prices are very fair and her work is exquisite, and she is great at time management on the morning of the wedding. I did a hair and makeup trial in late 2023 at her studio in North Jersey, and I was really impressed with her work and also her warm personality and explanation of all the different techniques and color choices she made while applying the makeup.
