“So there are two listings for the same salon. I will be duplicating this review for the other listing since there are two.
This listing and reviews are what brought me to Waves.
I needed a haircut badly. My hair had many dead ends and was frizzing and tangling easily.
After seeing whose name came up the most I went to Noreen for my cut and style.
Booking the appointment was so easy. I made the appointment online which was great for me. It was also a day they were closed so I didn’t have to worry about waiting for them to open and forgetting to call. I can always book it whenever. And the text/email reminders were so helpful.
I was worried about parking but that turned out to be a nonissue. The area of Cranford is very nice but isn’t as busy as the downtown area. It is street parking. But not metered. And I found a spot right out front in the shade! It is currently an excessive heat watch so shade is helpful. And I mean it was right out front and it was an end spot so I didn’t even have to parallel park.
I got there a little early. Checked in and everyone was very nice. They made sure I didn’t park in the back lot which is for residents. So helpful.
I met Noreen and she was so very nice.
I got my hair washed by Fiona and she was also very nice. Easy to chat with. The chair and sink were very comfortable. Sometimes the sinks hurt my neck but this was not an issue. It was very relaxing.
Then Noreen and I talked about what I wanted done with my hair. She made extra sure that I was comfortable with the length of my hair and my new curtain bangs and face frame. Did exactly what I wanted and did it amazingly!
Sometimes stylists want to “thin” out my thick hair or give me layers but I prefer not to get that done. Noreen did not do this which I appreciated. She really was attentive. Again she also was so easy to talk to. So friendly.
She knew I was going out that night and styled my hair wonderfully. Even told me how to freshen it up later and how to recreate the look on my own.
I was curious about the MagicShield keratin treatment and she told me everything about it! Not only the price but how long it would take, four hours, which is important information! Informed on everything. It was very helpful.
Finally I’ll just comment on the salon itself. It’s pretty large but not crowded which is nice. Plenty of space between stylists so you’re not crammed in. It looks very sleek. Plenty of light. A nice sitting area. I really do love how open it was. It was also clean and updated. Lots of natural light as well.
There was no surprise charges and they even had Apple Pay available. The receptionist knew who washed my hair and everything I had done. I was able to leave a tip in an envelope with her so I didn’t have to find or interrupt anyone.
So to sum it up I will be going back and I do highly suggest this salon.

Requested style: I wanted a significant amount of hairs cut and a curtain bang that flowed into a face frame.

Hair type: Very long hair to a tad longer than shoulder length. Very thick and takes longer to cut and is harder to cut well. Noreen cut it amazingly well.

Stylist: Noreen was amazing and so very nice. Was able to handle my thick hair.“

“I’ve been going to Green Tea Nails for years. They’re the best! I’ve never had a bad experience there. Usually Ann or Sunny does my nails, but all the techs are very skilled. The spa pedicures are fantastic too. I highly recommend.

Dorota's Reiki sessions are Amazing where when I leave her I am centered, calm and feel so aligned in my body. This spa is such a special place with beautiful live plants throughout the space ( I see you Eve!) and includes a large comfy couch where you can sit and relax before you go on with your day. “I get pedicures regularly, and generally go to Kim's in Maplewood Village. A few months ago, Kim's made me wait a very long time while taking other patrons first, and I decided to try another place for a change.

I drove to downtown Millburn and walked into Ambrose Salon, who immediately took me. Unlike Kim's, the Ambrose pedicure chairs provided a vibration and consistent water temperature with bubbling water. The pedicure chair offered a rolling massage good for up to 30 minutes, which was very relaxing.

My pedicurist took her time in giving me a regular pedicure ($30), complete with a heel soak bag in oil which was used while she polished my nails. The pedicures I get at Ambrose last me more than 3 weeks, much longer than any other pedicures in the area. I highly recommend them.“

This is my se o d time visiting this salon and I will be a regular cuatomer from now on.
Full set of acrylic nails took less than an hour but was done with amazing attention to detail and was exactly what I wanted. Finding a new nail salon that is professional, affordable and does great work is difficult but this salon impreessed me on all levela.
Hands down the BEST Pedicure I have ever gotten. I got the detox pedicure and WOW!! Best massage I have ever gotten in a pedicure. I have terrible calluses and they took their time and my feet and smoother than ever now.
I had a detox pedicure full set of acrylic nails with gel polish and an eyebrow wax. My husband got a detox pedicure and a manicure. We were in and out in 2 hours and it cost only $200. We have paid far more in other salons and spent more time for services nowhere near as good as what we recieved here. We had appointments and were taken exactly at our appointment time which is rare at a nail salon.
