When I spoke to Ms. Edith she was so polite and knew exactly what I wanted for my dad’s home going service. When we met she tended to my needs even thou I had my mom and aunt with me. I appreciate all she has done for us. My dad looked so good. They didn’t overdo it with makeup or anything. I would recommend Churchman to anyone in need. Thank you so much for everything. She sent me my dad’s remains and notified me when she did so.
Compassionate, kind, heart centered, professional, patient. These are just some of the words that express what we experienced working with Churchman Funeral Home. It's no wonder they've been in service for over 100 years; it shows in everything they do. From our first phone call with Edith while still in shock, we were blessed by this family. Mr. Rowe was the kindest man I ever met in such a situation and helped us get through the painful details necessary to complete the ritual. Simone asked to be a part of that sacred day because of a connection she felt and arrived scattering rose petals from my mom's front door down the path she walked for over 55 years. We don't live near Newark but our circumstances had us there. Thank Goddess they were the first ones we called after talking with another funeral home. We saved thousands of dollars, were treated with honesty about what we needed and didn't, and were able to lay our mom to rest in the most beautiful wooden casket covered in a gorgeous baby blue, burnt velvet cloth that looked like it came out of my mom's own collection. We cannot thank you enough for helping us get through the hardest days of our life. I highly recommend James E Churchman Jr Funeral Home. So much love.
Apostle Mark Robinson thank you for having my first cousin homegoing service
