Roofing has been the best I have ever had, to date, with a member of the trades. As a woman with a background in building science, far too many of my experiences with tradespeople that are men have been assuming my ignorance, being condescended to, being cut off and spoken over, and, sadly, receiving estimates from those that I have learned should not be in construction at all due to their lack of knowledge and often combined with an ingrained work culture to just get it done fast, instead of get it done right.Cafo is different. He was on time to the estimate, he was highly respectful, he was friendly, he was knowledgeable, he listened to me and even apologized for accidently cutting me off at one point, and it is highly apparent that he truly loves what he does.While he had an employee accompany him, HE climbed my roof himself to inspect and came back to me with an honest assessment and quote on the spot. Since I had already received quotes from other roofers and experienced their - less than desirable - service, I knew I had found who I was looking for to care for my hundred year old gorgeous slate roof that I was blessed to finally find in my new home. He got the job.They were on time to the job, they did excellent work, they cleaned up, he even came down to tell me he noticed there was a minor issue with the flashing on our chimney that he had not noticed and so he replaced it all with brand new flashing FOR FREE. “HIGHLY recommended. I came out because I had a leak way up on my roof in the vent stack. The guys came on time and went way up there and fixed it really, really well. They showed me photos of the old cover and it was in ruins. I also saw how they did the new one and by their work I could tell they were really knowledgeable on how to work on roofing. I asked about other parts of the roof, where they could have charged me more, but instead gave me some free advice and inspected the roof and patched some nail pops at no extra charge. I am going to hire them to do more just because they did such a great job with this small project. I am confident they do quality work, and I have an eye for how things are done. I am actually contacting them right now to do some more work for me. A very smart way to do business, I think this company is going to go very far.“
