We found Dr. Newman and Harlingen after suffering through three different bad experiences, judgmental attitudes and expensive misdiagnoses in the Bridgewater area. Our Miniature Schnauzer was finally diagnosed with a congenital shunt defect which required special care/diet/medicine following a consultation at the Cornell Veterinarian Medical School. Dr. Newman took care of our schnauzer and gave annual feedback to the specialist for the duration of her 13 years. Dr. Newman was there when we had to say goodbye. I have been bringing my 2 French Bulldogs here since they were tiny puppies and Harlingen has been wonderful ever since the first visit. Gaston & Petra get SOOO excited to see their very first doctor, Dr. Smetts and the entire team. Dr. Oakley who is their surgeon is fantastic and was even able to treat my chicken when she hurt her foot! The entire staff here are very kind and patient and make you feel right at home. I used a different vet in the past with my cats and honestly felt like they were always trying to push prescriptions and product that I didn't feel were necessary for them, so when I adopted my puppies I did my research to make sure I took them to a vet...read full review
Dr. Nicolas Oakley is simply awesome. He is patient with our puppy and happy to explain all of our questions, even some basic questions by our kids. The clinic itself is very understanding and made us feel comfortable from our first visit when our new puppy peed nervously in the waiting area.
