About A-1 Peck Driving School

A-1 Peck Driving School has been providing driving instruction for over 56 years. Students praise the school for its patient and knowledgeable instructors. One instructor, Nick, is particularly highlighted for his exceptional teaching abilities. Students describe him as great, kind, informative, and safe. Nick is known for his patience, providing clear guidance, and helping students build confidence. He encourages students to push their limits while ensuring their safety and offering reassurance when mistakes are made. The driving school also employs other skilled instructors, such as Joe, who are dedicated to helping students become confident and capable drivers. One student, Dale, appreciated the lessons with Joe, though felt the teachings could have been more strict. Another student had a wonderful experience with Joe, who gently guided them through roads of increasing speeds and helped them master parallel parking, allowing them to pass the road test on the first try. The school's commitment to student safety and success is evident in the positive reviews, with one student noting a "five-star service" after their first lesson with Nick, and expressing plans to return for another lesson.

This post is somewhat delayed, but a big thumbs up to A-1 Peck Driving School for assisting my son secure his 16 year old learners permit. No doubt covid screwed up so much for so many. Unfortunately, my son was in the cross hairs when it came time to get his permit. Having missed the opportunity to take his written in school, once the schools shut down on March of 2020, his fate was in the hands of DMV. We started off with another driving school who assured us that DMV was reopening and they would be able to assist son in getting tested. Needless to say, dates kept getting pushed further and further away, with no promise of getting him behind the wheel. Luckily I came across A-1 Peck and the light at the end of the tunnel appeared minutes after speaking with Jim, more than I did in dealing with months at the previous school. When shopping around for driving schools, a key question to ask is do they administer the vision test or the written test at their facility, or do they require you to go to DMV for such test. Post covid, the horror stories are relentless at DMV . Without having to go to a special vision DMV vision center, I was able to make an Appointment for both the written test and vision test at their home office on Route 46 in Kenvil, New Jersey. Unlike DMV, there were no crowds to contend with and just as important, the process began as soon as we walked in. While this alone won me over, as I was waiting, I looked around the office and realized how long A-1 Peck has been rooted in the community. It was truly a family run business that has been established in Morris County for over 55 years and has guided over 100,000 students. What took months with the previous school, took only a short time before my son was finally able to start his 6 hours of instruction. Once he secured the six hours, he had the permit in hand, and we were able to cruise. I cant forget that the lessons were awesome and kudos are in order for this step as well. So with that, when researching the perfect school what is more important? Is it the low price one school may offer, or is it the over services that may be provided. In my opinion, avoiding DMV made chosing A-1 Peck during thos pandemic well worth it. The topping on the cake was the great customer service and the fact that this company has been around for such a long time. I will also add that during the transition of schools, admittedly I called Jim several times while paperwork was being transferred and he was just as happy to speak with me as if it was his first time speaking with me even though I was calling multiple times. So with that, please give A-1 Peck a call for your driving school needs.

A-1 Peck instructor Jim did a great job with all three of my kids for their six hours of instruction. Pricing was reasonable and scheduling was hassle free.
