“Everyone at Hodes is friendly, attentive and caring. I went for my dog’s annual check-up and they explained her test results (thankfully she is a healthy pup!).

When she did get sick from eating out garbage, they were able to help right away and called twice to check-in on her. The vets listen to our concerns and help us make the best decision for our pup.

We are 40 minutes away from Hodes but it’s well worth the car ride to get our pup treated by the best vets we have met!“

“I have been going to Werner Animal Hospital for over thirty years now. Started with Dr. Werner Sr. and since his retirement, have been seeing Dr. Werner Jr. and his wife. We travel over 1/2 an hour to bring my two dogs and my kids 3 dogs. The doctors are efficient and knowledgeable and always explain options. They refer to specialists if necessary. The staff is kind and very compassionate in all circumstances. Prices are competitive. On my third set of dogs over the years and have always felt they care about the animal first. I cannot recommend them enough!“

“They helped us gracefully navigate the last years with an 18 year old diabetic terrier. They are OUTSTANDING examples of truly compassionate expert care and never once backed down from the increasing complexity of keeping him comfortable. This is by far the best vet of the many we've been to. Our experiences were primarily with Dr. Lorig, who is absolutely incredible, but all of the other vets, techs and receptionists we've had help us were also outstanding. We are very grateful to them and will be continuing to bring any of our animals here.“

“Absolutely fantastic experience for an emergency visit. One of my dogs had a mysterious rash & was biting & scratching himself raw. Regular vet could not make time & said about 2wks for appt, ER vet said to come & check in but then said I had to wait in car & they would call in 4-5hrs. I called Washington Street Veterinary & they were kind enough to see my dog within the hour, efficiently diagnosed & treated for allergic reaction. They gave me meds & shampoo & scheduled a follow up for a week. Had a third follow up with shot again. Each visit was pleasant & efficient, so much so that while I really like my old vet that practice is too busy & hard to get appts & lots of waiting past appt time so I will make Washington Street my new animal care provider. Excellent service each visit“
