Several months ago I took the leap and met with James to discuss getting back in shape. I was totally sedentary with the exception of occasional bike rides and kayak outings, so to say the idea of working out with a personal trainer was intimidating at my fitness level would be a major understatement. But James made it possible. He started me off light and we slowly but continuously increased weight, reps and difficulty with each session. As a woman feeling embarrassed of my physical shape, I had the attitude of no pain no gain – keeping my aches and pains to myself and pushing through. But James is a physical and psychological coach. He wants you to tell him if something is uncomfortable so that he can offer a modification and prevent injury. If you feel sluggish, he will use his nutrition expertise to suggest increasing or decreasing certain foods in your diet. He monitors everything you eat, every single day, whether you are training that day or not. And he provides feedback on each meal. But most importantly, he provides you with the tools you need to take better care of yourself and be the best version of you. Because of my training sessions I am stronger physically and more focused. My confidence has increased and I look forward to new physical challenges. Personal trainers aren’t just for people who work out a lot. I highly recommend Medford Core no matter your fitness level to get to a better version of yourself.
I whole heartedly recommend James and Medford Core Personal Training! I’m a 64 year old male, I’ve worked out in gyms for many years and ride my Peloton. When Covid came upon us most everything stopped. After 20 months of being indoors with my Peloton it was time to get back to working out, but I wanted more than just a gym. I was looking for a good jumpstart to get back into the shape I was in prior to Covid, and to take my workouts and overall fitness to the next level. I’ve driven past Medford Core countless times over the years, but back in April 2022 I made the decision to stop in and see what this place was about. I discussed my goals with James and he immediately set a plan in motion to get me where I want to be. It's now been almost 4 months and I’ve dropped 15 pounds, my workouts with James are spot on and I feel better than ever. James brings his big personality and his years of expertise in personalized training and nutrition to every session. I thought I knew almost everything about working out..after all, I’ve been going to gyms for years. Truth be told, I have learned more about exercise and nutrition from 4 months with James than I have in years at the gym! I’ve seen James work with men and women of all ages and all levels of fitness. He is the real deal, a great motivator and a good guy.
You couldn’t ask for a more professional trainer than James. He truly is an expert in his field. It is regimented with a no nonsense approach but we all who train with James have fun while getting in the best of shape.
