Hackensack Meridian is one of the nicest, cleanest gyms in the tri-state area.Pro's: Huge facility with every machine and piece of fitness equipment you can imagine. Multiple gyms in the area have the "old gym sock" smell. Hackensack literally has no odor and is kept reasonably clean. There is staff to answer questions, but don't expect a boutique experience. Again, huge facility . The showers and locker rooms are clean with towels/soap/shampoo/conditioner/hair dryers . The saunas and hot tub are typically in working condition. Love this place. An aqua aerobics instructor named Phil is fun and gives a great, hard class. I'm a certified aqua instructor and I appreciate a really good workout. I met Phil years ago when I took a class at a different gym and then he has subbed for me at New York sports club when I was on vacation years ago. I was so happy to see his name on the schedule when I signed up for this gym. All of the classes are fun at this place.?️♂️ Zumba is great too.
This is a great gym. I have been a member for several years and highly recommend it. Equipment in the main gym is very varied and I never have to wait to use it. It's clean and well maintained. There are a lot of different classes to choose from and the instructors have always been excellent. Personal trainer James Fairfax is the best.
