My 9 year old daughter was having difficulty reading and comprehending text. I assumed she was falling behind because she missed most of in person 1st grade due to Covid. A summer tutor recognized that she was having difficulty tracking text. Watching her initial evaluation nearly brought me to tears watching her struggle and get frustrated. I was very lucky to discover Gallaway Beckett Vision Therapy for my daughter. Before learning about vision therapy, I couldn't understand why she was losing her place while reading and omitting and inserting words. She was unaware of the fact that she was changing what was written because she knew all of the words in isolation. The team there is outstanding and welcomed us from the first day. They are always available to talk about how your child is progressing and give tips. They regularly assess and give updates as well. We were very lucky to find Dr. Gallaway and Dr. Gallaway Beckett. Both physicians and the staff were amazing and very supportive as my son completed vision therapy. My son's issues were resolved by completing the program which has made a huge difference in his life.
