Roofing has been the best I have ever had, to date, with a member of the trades. As a woman with a background in building science, far too many of my experiences with tradespeople that are men have been assuming my ignorance, being condescended to, being cut off and spoken over, and, sadly, receiving estimates from those that I have learned should not be in construction at all due to their lack of knowledge and often combined with an ingrained work culture to just get it done fast, instead of get it done right.Cafo is different. He was on time to the estimate, he was highly respectful, he was friendly, he was knowledgeable, he listened to me and even apologized for accidently cutting me off at one point, and it is highly apparent that he truly loves what he does.While he had an employee accompany him, HE climbed my roof himself to inspect and came back to me with an honest assessment and quote on the spot. Since I had already received quotes from other roofers and experienced their - less than desirable - service, I knew I had found who I was looking for to care for my hundred year old gorgeous slate roof that I was blessed to finally find in my new home. He got the job.They were on time to the job, they did excellent work, they cleaned up, he even came down to tell me he noticed there was a minor issue with the flashing on our chimney that he had not noticed and so he replaced it all with brand new flashing FOR FREE. I am confident that anyone learning under him is getting the knowledge needed to do quality work in a country where that is few and far between these days. “We have nothing but rave reviews for Proven Contracting! We planned out the entire roofing process with Ryan, the owner, who was super responsive, helpful and went out of his way to answer my questions and ensure I was educated on the whole process. He even helped us pick out shingle colors the night before our choice was due! I met our foreman Tito about a week before the job because he drove all the way out to our place to do his due diligence and assess the property so he came prepared with his crew the day of (we already knew we were in really good hands at this point). Tito and his crew were warm, accommodating, meticulous and went out of their way to ensure the job was done right. We have a large roof with lots of details, were on a tight move-in timeline and were expecting rain the next day so Ryan sent out about 16 guys to ensure they could complete the (meticulous) job all in one day. Even my GM said he was shocked at how good and efficient and focused they were. On top of that, we encountered some last minute challenges (it's an old house) and Tito and some of his guys stayed until it was pitch black out making sure they could fix the issue - which was not of their own making - and make it look as aesthetically pleasing as possible. Most of all, they were clear, consistent and considerate communicators - Tito kept me posted on every development along the way and took the time to explain all the details to me. As if this isn't enough and you aren't convinced that Proven Contracting is the best option in the NJ area, they also offered me the cheapest estimate out of the three companies we were recommended.

“Excellent company to do business with! They worked quickly and met every expectation. This was the second siding job I have done with them and just like the first one they did not disappoint. All of the employees were very polite and made sure that I was fully satisfied with the work. But with every big project there can always be complications that arise. We had a small issue with my tenants air conditioning unit mid way through the project but Bruce was very attentive and made sure to correct the issue asap so that my tenant didn’t have to spend too much time in a hot apartment. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the work and will always recommend them to anyone looking to repair/replace the siding in their home.“
