“2 years ago I came across an ad for Royal Fades Barbershop for their Sensory Sunday haircuts. My son has pretty bad ADHD and anxiety so getting his haircut was pretty much a disaster every time. So we wanted to give it a try so we booked an appointment. Adam creates such a calm and welcoming environment. He is extremely patient, so kind and amazing at what he does. We are so happy to have found him and appreciate him more than we can put into words. Fast forward to now, my son looks forward to seeing Adam and getting his hair cut!! Still a little fussy with the cuts at times but nothing like before. His hair always comes out perfect! We get compliments on his hair all the time. “I'm a simple man who likes simple things. One of those things, is an icy tight fade. This place, my friends, is where that happens. I get my haircut once a week so I know the things that get done when you're working with a professional. Marv the Barber is certainly that. This man took the time and pride in his artistry to have me walk out of there with a "I got a great cut" smile on my face for the first time in a long time. The shop looks great all The Barbers are funny and friendly. While I was sitting there every cut I watched the other Barbers do looked legit. If you told me you could roll the dice and make an appointment with any of them and you would walk out with a good cut, I'd believe you. “We moved to the area in the mid 80s, started going to N&J. They were in the same area but closer to RT9 in a small strip mall. Went to N&J until the early 2000s. Moved out of the area, returned 5-6 years ago. Went back to N&J, Nick and Marie are still there, doesn’t look that much older and is still as good as ever with the scissors. Thank you N&J for keeping the tradition of a classic NJ Barber shop.“

“I took my son in here today for an appointment based off a recommendation I received from other moms in the area and I was not disappointed one bit. The place is beautiful and clean, spacious as well. Chris cut my son's hair and he was truly the best. He was so patient with my son who is no small feat to work on. He moves a lot and swats around but Chris handled it perfectly, professionally and patiently. I am super impressed by the whole place, they did not hesitate to put my son's favorite show on for him while he was sitting. They take their time, they pay attention to detail, they have a very good and open line of communication with each customer and they're appointment only so it's not full of people just sitting waiting forever and ever. 2024: New management. Elias was great but the guy who bought it was terrible. Now it seems to have changed hands again and it's great again!“
