About Master Kim's Tiger Tae Kwon Do
Master Kim's Tiger Tae Kwon Do offers programs for all ages, from pre-school to adults, beginners to black belts. The programs focus on enhancing focus, confidence, discipline, and mental and physical agility through the Korean martial art of Taekwondo. Students build self-esteem, perseverance, and learn self-defense, while gaining an instant family of peers who share a passion for Taekwondo. Master Kim and his staff are praised for their excellent teaching, great rapport with the children, and their commitment to the students' personal growth.
Master Kim's Tiger Taekwondo was simply the best program for our 5-year-old. We took advantage of the introductory period, but our son simply refused to participate, viewing from the sidelines. Master Kim and his staff patiently offered words of encouragement without rushing him. Other parents told us not to give up because their children were reluctant at first as well. Parents from surrounding towns drive their children past ordinary Taekwondo classes to Master Kim's amazing class for valid reasons. He blends respect, culture, discipline, confidence and fun perfectly. Before and after class, Master Kim slowly practiced punching and kicking with our son. We had faith in Master Kim, so we signed up for the entire year. Soon after, our son decided to participate in the full class and has looked forward to it. We have seen our son learn new moves with the help of Master Kim's entire staff. We like that our son learns from Master Kim and respectfully follows others, too. Our son went from being shy and timid to confident in announcing himself, counting out numbers and replying to Master Kim's questions. Our son progressed faster in Master Kim's class than in the classroom. The look on our son's face as he earned his first belt was priceless. Master Kim brings out the best in our child and all children because he has perfected his craft, he embodies the ideals of Taekwondo in his life, he cares so much for each child, and he relentlessly makes each one better each day. Master Kim commands their respect because he teaches them to respect one another and themselves.
I highly recommend. They have a great program and the whole team, especially Master Kim are terrific.
My daughter is easily distractable, very independent and full of energy. Initially we signed her up for tae kwon do to take advantage of the values taught asking with the martial arts - respect, perseverance, discipline, humility, discipline, generosity and integrity. What we've also seen since she started there last June is also greater self confidence and self awareness since she's required to make a promise to test for each belt. And she's been sticking to the promises! Master Kim and all the instructors know her by name and pay attn to each child, including constructive criticism. We love this place!
