Personally I really like this place. Years ago I went with a cousin and thought, no. But I went recently, and had an excellent experience. I will now go here for my hair. It's local, it's reasonably priced and it is a friendly place.
This is the first time I came to Route 23 Fantasticks Sam, I had a chance to meet my stylist Aynor. We discussed about the color and the style I preferred for my hair. The result turns out perfect with her 16 years working experience. Thank you a lot Aynor.
my go-to stylist here is liz, i have been to igor in the past and he was also great but lately liz cuts my bangs super nice so shes my first pick. i really needed a trim off my ends as my curls werent doing too great so i tried making an appointment but liz was booked till january it sounded like. i really should have just waited because i was told over the phone that this other woman Mary was also good with curly or wavy hair types so i went to her instead. please tell me in what world does "a trim" mean two inches off? soon as i looked at the length in the mirror i thought oh god. she had taken all the length that had grown since i last came for a cut and then some. i wasn't about to cause a scene of course but when i say i was crying in my car afterwards because i knew i was going to look like a little boy once it was dry. i was told Mary was good with curly wavy hair but i don't think she understands that it shrinks up when its dry, i cant even blame her though, i really should have just waited for liz to have availability. it hurts me to think about how long I'm going to have to deal with this awful haircut. my hair isn't going to reach that length again until march- and to top it all off i was trying to grow my hair out so realistically it wont be until June or July ill have the length i could have been able to reach in march, if not for the two inches I'm missing. i realize hair grows back but my hair is also very important to my self image. if my hair looks like garbage i feel like garbage. I'm not looking forward to feeling like garbage until march. it took me so many years to actually appreciate my hair texture and when liz or Igor cuts it it looks gorgeous and flattering. when its cut by someone who doesn't understand what a simple trim means or the concept of shrinkage it makes me wish i could go into a four month coma until it grows back and i can start back over and go for what i originally wanted with my go-to stylist. learned my lesson.
