135 Logan Ave, Jersey City“I've done business with Innovative Carpentry and more specifically the owner Jim many times in my life. The first three words that come to mind when I think of Jim are genuine, compassionate, and gifted. His scope of knowledge ranges from basic construction to intricate and custom woodworking to fit any space to electrical engineering and even plumbing. He has an incredible spatial awareness and knows how to use all of the space afforded to his customers - those living in the MetroNYC area know what I mean. I say this to give the context that he doesn't come in to just do a job and leave. His work and his ethics assure that once the job is complete, it has been cross-referenced and functions within the entire ecosystem of the modern home or whatever place that you're considering renovating. Innovative is a small business and has all the charms of a small business (easy to contact the owner, he always finds time to squeeze you in, remembers your family and friends that he meets while in your company), yet the output (size, quality and scope of the job) feels like it rolled out of a Manhattan showroom. In the past, he and his team have done custom cabinetry for my family and I, as well as several bathrooms, and even a kitchen. Friends have used him to build their summer homes and each of them were beyond satisfied and still occupy these happy homes without issues years later. The finished products are truly unbelievable and he always adds a touch that you would never think of; Jim helps you dream in a sense. The work is and has always been seamless. Jim and his staff take their time to sit with you personally to assess your needs, and in times of crises, he systematically "turns over every stone" to get to the root of a problem. Working with Innovative doesn't feel like your'e going to a place to get "sold" on something. Recently, when my family and I experienced serious flood damage in our new place, Jim took time out of his busy schedule to come over several times to take a deeper look at the potential causes and he compared and contrasted how different fixes would lead to the best possible solution for my family and I. Also, I think that it is very important to mention that the people who work under Jim's direction are long-time members of the staff, some having worked with him for over twenty years! They're friendly, trustworthy, kind and are completely reverent when working in the home space. I feel that this says a lot about the type of culture cultivated within Innovative Carpentry. I HIGHLY recommend them!Services: Table construction & installation“

1 Sylvan Ave, Englewood Cliffs“I discovered this place through a post on Threads, where someone shared their great experience with them. I needed multiple blinds installed for our newly built home, including floor-to-ceiling, loft-sized windows. I had consultations with other blind brands from Turkey and elsewhere, but I immediately knew HSH was the right choice. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, offers thoughtful recommendations, and helps you make the best and most reasonable decisions. Another great advantage is that they have a warehouse/factory in NJ, which allowed them to meet our tight timeline and also didn’t have to worry about any surcharges due to tariff. We couldn’t be happier with the results. The price, quality, professionalism, efficiency and timing were all spot on.“

We were moving into a newly constructed building under a very tight time frame, and very concerned about getting shades installed before moving in. The sales agent recommended Innovation Shades and we could not have been happier! They manufactured, delivered and installed our new shades within 3 weeks. Unheard of with other companies. And their customer service? Top notch! They were concerned just as much as we were about getting these done in time. They were kind, courteous, patient, and always professional. It was a true delight to work with every member of their team. I wouldn’t consider using any other company and we will, without hesitation, be using them for future enhancements in our new home. Bravo!!!“

1486 Coney Island Ave, Brooklyn“My experience with Dave was nothing like two recent reviews, posted following his buy of United Decorators (UD) from Paul, whose excellent reputation speaks for itself.
My mom used UD many times years ago, most likely when Paul was there, so I turned to UD for my own reupholstering needs. In this case, for a tired old loveseat needing some tender loving care.
Choosing the fabric took the longest time, as some were from European sources slow to reply to inquiries about availability and cost.
Dave also rehabilitated the wood frame and applied a new coat of polish making the result a fine example of upholstery craftsmanship.
It took two months to complete but well worth the wait.
Every experience is different but I am happy to say mine was worthy of five stars.“

We were struggling to find someone who could make our vision come to life even with our architectural drawing and had to move on from an interior designer who just didn’t get it. But Diego and his team did with 360 degree VR and renderings! We will be reaching out again and having them assist us with continuing to bring our brand to fruition.
“Everything looks great Diego, thank you!! As we move through our process and the time is right we will reach out to you regarding branding/website/social. Once again thank you for working with us and making our vision clear and beautiful with powerful renderings and VR! Talk soon!”“

727 Commercial Ave Unit H, Carlstadt“We had a T\\u0026G cedar plank installed on our ceiling in the living room by previous owner and hated it! Our extensive research led to stretch ceiling system which was unknown to us. We called PCS and they were fantastic! They came out and gave us a quote the same day. We also had an opportunity to see the product installed at one of the previous projects they completed. Once we approved the quote, they scheduled the installation within 4 days. The installation team showed up on time and finished the job in one day. No mess, no dust. They moved the furniture to the center of the room and moved it back once they finished. The final product looks amazing!“

1208 Washington St # 1, Hoboken“Carol is amazing! We highly recommend her for home staging and interior design. We brought Carol in to stage our apartment for sale. The apartment at the time was completely empty, and it was hard for potential buyers to visualize the space without furniture. We gave Carol short notice and a limited budget. She was able to improvise and simply make it happen! She quickly assessed the place, gave helpful pointers (small fix-its, etc), chose the paint colors, selected furnishings from her shop and through her various connections, and organized the deliveries. She did this all in a completely collaborative way while also taking the lead to help minimize my stress! Carol has impeccable taste level and knowledge of how best to use the space. The apartment now looks so much better than it did when it was empty, and than it did when it was previously occupied. (Almost made my husband and I want to move back in!) We are so pleased with our experience working with Carol, and thrilled with the results!“

8th FI 08B118, 500 7th Ave, New York“This was my first time working with The New York Closet Company and it has been nothing but a first rate experience! I needed a project done pretty quickly as I had to move. At the first meeting, I explained my needs and my design concept. Bruce immediately took measurements and made great suggestions that reflected his experience and even improved upon my ideas. On the spot he drew up a great sketch that showed that he knew what I needed and wanted. After some minor modifications and final approval, they worked quickly to construct the unit in their shop and then came to my apartment to assemble and put it in place. Yehuda and his team completed this project in one day. They took care to cover everything and when finished cleaned up after themselves. I am very happy with the outcome and cannot recommend their professionalism enough. Do not hesitate to work with them. I can't wait to come up with a new project for them to do. See the two before and after pictures. Thanks with much appreciation!“

372 Manhattan Ave, New York“We had an amazing experience working with Eric on our kitchen project. From the very beginning—starting over a year before construction, when Eric first created our kitchen design—he was consistently communicative, responsive, and organized. He stayed engaged throughout the entire process, making thoughtful adjustments as our plans evolved to ensure our kitchen would turn out exactly as we hoped. His attention to detail and proactive communication gave us complete confidence every step of the way.
Eric designed the kitchen using IKEA cabinets and treated the entire process as if it were for his own home. He brought a high level of care and precision to every decision, offering smart design solutions and never cutting corners. His flexibility was a huge asset, and he was always willing to go above and beyond to make things work better.
Once the installation began, we hit a few snags with our general contractor, but Eric immediately stepped in to help resolve the issues and ensure everything still fit and functioned properly. Eric and Justice were able to see the space as it was being built and made smart, on-the-fly adjustments to keep everything aligned with the original vision. Their ability to adapt in real time made a huge difference in the final outcome.
Justice was also an incredible help—not only hardworking and meticulous, but unafraid to share his insights based on his experience, which we really appreciated. He and Eric worked tirelessly with a level of professionalism and craftsmanship that far exceeded our expectations. They were also extremely careful to keep the space clean and orderly throughout the process, which made a huge difference while living through a renovation. We’re incredibly grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and people you can truly trust.“

We had many decision and design changes, but Lauren was always patient and ready to assist with ideas and solutions. “These are the elements that we felt were the most important about our work with the Contextus Architecture and Design team:
Exceeding Expectations
I cannot say enough good things about Contextus Architecture and Design and their incredible team! The results speak for themselves, especially in the old vs. new kitchen. We hired them for a complete renovation of a historic Victorian 3-story townhouse, and they exceeded our expectations in every way.
Maximizing Space
Contextus maximized every inch of our home, ensuring that each nook and cranny served a purpose. They skillfully preserved the historic external structures, allowing us to avoid a historical review and audit, which was incredibly important. One of the most impressive changes was moving the kitchen from the back of the house to the center, creating a seamless flow from the living room to the kitchen, dining room, and out to the patio. This transformation has made entertaining a joy.
Personalized Design
From the start, Contextus listened carefully to our concerns and asked in-depth questions about our daily activities to design a space that truly fits our lifestyle. They also incorporated personal elements into the design, drawing inspiration from our beloved travels, art, and even our fur baby dog. They created mood boards and color layouts with various options to capture the atmosphere we envisioned.
Attention to Detail
Their attention to detail was remarkable, helping us select every fixture, door handle, and hinge to ensure a clean and modern look that remains timeless. The team at Contextus was not satisfied until we were completely happy, and even then, their commitment to perfection went far above and beyond the requirements.
Focus and Avoiding Unnecessary Changes
Contextus kept the renovation as simple as possible and ensured we avoided unnecessary demolition or build-outs. This approach kept our project focused and helped manage any potential cost overruns with our contractor.
Gratitude and Fair Pricing
We are deeply grateful for their dedication and the extremely fair pricing they offered. We definitely think that we got the better end of the deal (THANK YOU!!)
Thank you, Contextus, for turning our house into a true home!“
