Hands down the best luthier shop around. John and Duana are both extremely knowledgable and skilled, providing expert advice and repairs. If something is not 100% to the customer's liking, they will not cease until satisfaction has been reached. They are the most honest and fair people in the business!! You cannot go wrong here, whether searching for a new instrument, having one repaired, or getting a sound adjustment. Great rehairs as well!

Absolutely unbelievable service and craftsmanship. My first visit to Wamsley was for a new ‘A’ string for my daughter’s cello, and while there, John recommended replacing the tailgut with Kevlar. This was a game-changer, tone-wise. He was kind, knowledgeable, and not at all pushy about the recommendation, which was completed while I waited (despite being a walk-in). I knew we had found the person we’d rely on for years to come. Thankfully, we had found Wamsley Violins just in time, because only a couple months later, we had a super unfortunate accident with the cello, resulting in the neck snapping in half at the heel. I was told not to bring my violin there for repairs again. This was repeated several times. It was discriminating despite paying more than the initial amount quoted. I never knew their services were for a specific set of people. So sad ?
