“When I first got a dog I truly underestimated how much work it could be. My coworker referred me here after seeing how much I was struggling and within the first semester of training my dog (Zaba) had improved tremendously. What is great is they don't just train the dog but instead help the owner learn how to handle their dog. They always have answers to my questions and truly want to help because they care. It's been over a year since. I started going here and I cannot recommend this place enough. My dog has always been treated well by everyone working there and Zaba absolutely loves her weekly training class :)“

“I took my buzz there to get put down. They were very nice and friendly. The young girl at the front desk was very kind during this difficult time. I had a very good experience. I haven't really taken my dog there only that time but I would have to say they were very good with my buzz and I definitely needed it during that time.“

Petra's Dog Resource Center Pet Boarding Training

“After 25 years as the manager of a large boarding facility, I knew what I was (and wasn’t) looking for when the need arose to board my own dog. I was familiar with Petra through friends that used her as their dogs’ PT, and from her involvement with FDSA, and I was fortunate to be within a 40 minute drive of here. I stopped in for a tour of the kennel, with my list of questions in hand, and was completely satisfied with what I saw and heard. Next I scheduled my pup for daycare once a week for a month as a way of introducing her to kenneling, she was a bit nervous when I handed her off the first day, as I expected she would be, but much to my delight, she couldn’t get in the door fast enough on the second day. Then I left her for one overnight, this would be the big test as she’d never spent a night away from us in her 3 years. I was happy to hear that she settled in fine and actually ate her dinner, but I was overjoyed when she was just as excited to get there for her next daycare. She loves all the ladies that work here, and they seem to love her just as much. She has since spent 4 nights and did great. I am happy with the variety of extra services that they offer, very important for physical and mental enrichment, and I appreciate that I can customize them to best suit my dog’s needs. While it is my preference to take her with me when I travel, it is not always possible, but that is no longer a worry for me. I am so happy to have found Petra’s Dog Resource Center, and it is the only place I will be leaving my dog.“

They made a horrible situation into a bearable one, and cared for us as much as for him.

Highly recommend!! ❤️“

Therapy Dogs International Pet Boarding Training

“My COVID project was to do something I always wanted to do but never had the time to do it. I wanted to be trained, and to train a dog to become nationally pet therapy certified and bring smiles to any and all faces! I know what joy they bring to my life and I just want to bring that joy to others even if it’s only for a little while. Maverick and I did all of our training and graduated within 1 year of getting him at 8 weeks old. I will never forget one of the reviewers taking me aside and informing me how exceptional Maverick was with the kids, and that I should think about going into Elementary schools. I took her advice, even though that wasn’t my original plan. We have been attending two different Elementary schools going on our second year now. We also do a group session once a month with the elderly. If our patients are home bound we make visits to their home. When I put his bandanna around his neck he knows it’s therapy time. He is so comfortable and confident he struts his stuff walking down the hallway! He knows what he is supposed to do and is more than happy to oblige. I just sit back and watch him smile, watch the people smile, and then I smile. I am very grateful for TDI and the many lives it has and will change.“
