She is also humble enough to know her limitations and help arrange appointments with specialists (the next day!) who can properly diagnose specialized issues.

Our dog, unfortunately, passed from his multiple chronic conditions, but our lasting memory of Dr. Hildenbrand will be her compassion toward our little guy. He was rapidly losing weight and had a diminished appetite in his final days, unable to lift his head due to a fast-growing mass on his neck. Without hesitation, Dr. Hildenbrand grabbed a can of food, got down on the floor, and began hand-feeding him at his level. Somehow she was able to get him to eat during our visit. It makes us tear up every time we think about it. In the nearly 15 years of our beautiful dog's life, we have never witnessed that level of compassion shown to him and us, his parents. If and when the time comes for us to get another dog, we will be seeing Dr. Hildenbrand WITHOUT A DOUBT. We enthusiastically recommend her and West Village Veterinary Hospital.“

“I am a long-time client of both Riverside Vet South and North. I adopted Jacques and Jolie (siblings) from RVN in 2008. My 15-yo kitty Jacques came in this week to RVS for a dental. The vet was Dr. East who has helped me in very difficult moments with my kitties - and I have to say the experience was beyond my expectations. The staff's communication was spot-on and they clearly had Jacques' best interests in mind. Dr. East (as always , so compassionate) made excellent recommendations and spent a lot of time discussing everything with me. “I brought my beloved dog Vanna to be put to sleep on June 7th to Meadowlands Veterinary Hospital . Vanna was 17 years old and was completely blind. Her blindness didn't stop her from being physically active and she was always on the move. Unfortunately there were other issues which made it impossible for Vanna to continue being active. Vanna was seen by Dr Meza. She was so patient with me and gave me all the time I needed to hold Vanna and cry and just say goodbye to my little beautiful baby. I didn't feel pressured at all. Dr Meza explained the entire procedure to me and told me when I was ready to let Vanna go to let her know. I was holding Vanna when she passed. I wept so much but I truly felt it was the best thing I could do for my sweet girl. I would definitely recommend Dr Meza or Dr Marteney. The medical staff who assist the vets and the front desk Sasha Maria Selena are all great. Thank you Dr Meza for your compassion and patience I truly appreciat“

We started coming here towards the end of our French bulldog’s life, but they definitely saved him more than once and provided medication and guidance on specialists to improve the quality of his remaining days as well. When he passed away (peacefully at home), we had him cremated with them and they provided us with the cutest little paw print keepsake. “I brought my dog there the other day for the first time… Very very happy! let me start here…(I rescue pitbulls for the last 20 years so I’m very serious about their care and their mental well-being)
I had found parking in the front of the clinic and my dog hates getting out of my truck.. (his fear)
so I had the door open, and I was just talking to him, waiting for him to be comfortable to come out. One of the girls that work there saw me and decided on her own to come out and be super helpful and greet my dog and try and help me get him out and make him feel comfortable! it may sound like not a big deal, but it was because she didn’t have to come out and go out of her way to help me without me asking.
so we get him out of the car, we go inside he was so happy… All the girls inside were so welcoming so sweet and so obsessed with my Boy Dante! I did not wait long at all, actually I only waited Maybe about 5 minutes 10 minutes.MAX. which normally at all my old vets, I’ve always waited at least 30 mins. (this definitely helps us as pet owners and also our pets that hate waiting in a waiting room getting anxious)
then I go into the room to see Dr. Anastasiou .. (the best!!!) The most kindest, gentle and educated Veterinarian! listened to all my concerns, paid attention to my dogs behavior, mannerisms, and took good care of him! he did not rush me out, and he made everything super easy!! I highly recommend Middletown animal clinic! 10/10 !!!“
