Being from Los Angeles, I tried different barbers around Manhattan and Fort Lee area after moving here and couldn't find anyone that could do it like the Los Angeles folks (at ssooniestyle, shout out to them and Ray) until I came here. Yusa was the one to cut my hair and I plan to go to him only for my hair needs moving forward. I actually came in with many things I wanted to fix in my hair. Not only did Yusa patiently listen to all of my requests, he even spent extra time to examine my hair type and head shape and explained his thought process as he cut my hair. By the end of the haircut, not only did I receive an excellent haircut for a very fair price, but Yusa also gave me a ton of advice regarding how I should maintain and style my hair. Cherry on top, he's also super friendly, interesting and a great conversationalist. In terms of service, scheduling an appointment by phone is simple and quick, but the stylists here are understandably busy and have packed schedules. I would suggest scheduling ahead of time and mentally preparing to be placed on a wait list. Otherwise, finding the salon was easy and the interior is clean and pleasant to be in. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot, especially if you're looking to get a trendy and modern Asian male hairstyle for a fair price compared to places in Manhattan.“

“This salon is run by husband (Hide) & wife (Hanna) and another colleague. All professionals, no waiting time because they don’t over book. Hair products they use are high-end and non irritating. They don’t push clients to buy hair products. No chattering noisily unless you engage them in conversation. Place is very clean and quiet, no loud music blaring in the background, maybe just a soft jazz music, very relaxing. I’ve been many times in the salon and Hide always did a great job with the hair coloring, cut and blow dry. I’m not going anywhere else except to Salon Oasis.“
