“I have mixed feelings about Glitz. Here’s the good: Super nice people…I mean, really nice, not stuck up at all, and very welcoming! Plus the place does not have that strong chemical smell like other places do. I had Gel X nails done for my hands, and a regular pedicure, no gel. The girl who did my pedicure was sweet, nice and gentle. My manicurist was a sweetie as well! And my gel x nails came out nice, even though the french itself was slightly crooked. (which I mentioned, and the owner did try to fix, but my fingers throw off the whole thing.). Plus the place is clean!Now, here’s what I didn’t like. I had to wait an hour after my appointment to have my nails done. There was no mention about it, no apologies. I have to travel a half hour to get there.I’m a purist, and like my nails done a certain way, kept short so I can function, and I’m not into the latest trends, but I felt that my manicurist was being insistent on having other shapes or other things done to my nails, and asking me why I didn’t want to do it. So I felt pushed into getting glitter that I didn’t want, or having the length of my nails longer than I wanted especially since I wanted super short.Also, my manicurist may not have realized, even after I mentioned it, but the filing was a bit rough for me.But all in all, I will be going back and giving this salon another chance because I do like the personalities of the women who work there, including Naomi, the owner. She’s a sweetie! Hopefully this time they can get me in on time and get my nails done the way I want them, which I’m sure won’t be a problem this time around, now that I feel comfortable.Services: Pedicure“
